My old company CSM in the Australian Army could remember the names and service number of every man hurt or killed under his command, remembered their full names DOB and when they died or how they got hurt. The guy didn't have a photographic memory ether he would write them down and read them every night. Apart from my dad he was one of the greatest role models in my life and a true gentleman and warrior in a horrible line of work. Truly a great man, to me that's way more impressive and just shows the horrors some soldiers carry with them for life. I'm talking like hundreds of people too I still don't know how he does it he must have a photographic memory even if he says he doesn't.
Kerr is a great coach. Never wants to talk down on his players and make them feel inferior. Both him and Draymond know that none in the team could do this but he is trying to keep the spirit high. Great coach.
I mean he’s not lying though. Like Kerr said, just like great quarterbacks remember stretches of games, so do great basketball players. Would be surprised if the top 2-3+ players on each playoff team didn’t have that same ability. Definitely not particularly rare but maybe slightly uncommon for the top players
That memory is why he's so good. He's able to analyze his play as well as other's through memory. Film only enhances it, but he doesn't need it. I agree that all great players will have that, be it Chess, football, basketball, or checkers. It's rare but not unique.
Yeah but alot of stars can do it. Can't believe the media blowing this shit up. LeBron was never dumb so wtf is the point posting it now. I would agree with Steve Kerr that isn’t that uncommon for high level athletes. One time I was at a seminar with Marcus almeida (a Brazilian jujitsu world champion). Someone asked him about an obscure sequence from one of his matches a couple years prior. Marcus not only knew what he was talking about, but walked us through the details of the move. It was surprising and impressive.

His old team mates ask stuff like "January 2003, away game vs. Valencia" and Iker tells you immediately what was the score and who scored the goals for Real Madrid. Impressive, but like Steve Kerr said, not impossible/unique.

it's not INCREDIBLY impressive that he remembers the plays but the fact he remembers everyone's names and exactly what they did. not just "oh they missed then we missed then they made one then we missed then they made one timeout"
It was a critical moment in the game, of course he is going to remember everything about it, he was there. At that stage, everyone already knows what plays they are running it just comes down to execution. I was a musician in high school, to this day I remember chords and specific notes with great detail because we were so involved and wrapped up in it.
Remembering a song is not the same thing as remembering a complex set of events - that are not being repeated over and over again and in unison, like a song. lol.
@@summertyme5748 you must just listen to radio pop music and not understand how complex music really is lol. We're not talking remembering the lyrics to some r&b song on the radio. Music is so complex, it involves chords, arpeggios, intonation, modulations, progressions...etc. a lot more complex than remembering who passed it to who last week on a play that they run over and over in practice.
what's the big deal? there are countless clips of former athletes detailing a single play from decades earlier with the same level of detail and accuracy. James was simply recalling what just happened an hour earlier.
Correct, other players have realized it. I forgot which player but he said that Lebron told him which play he was supposed to do when he forgot it. He was on the opposing side...
Greatest players will have the best memories for sure but not like that. Action for action, play for play, for various possessions, of what every player did during each possession. Not right after the quarter either, but way later when the game has been over for a little while, and that quarter (first one) was even longer ago. Crazy impressive, that shows he cares so much about everything happening during the game as well as his understanding and intelligence for what goes on in basketball
After playing some pickup games with friends, when I got home lying in bed after taking shower, I usually have most of the plays that I was involved in replaying in my head like a movie, be it a score, a rebound a steal, a block, or a turnover. Usually the more impressive the play the better I remember it.
Game Changer Jordan had his share of bad games too but no one remembers them because they don't want to expose him and they want him to seen perfect but I remember MJ in his poor game 7 performance against NY but his team carried him through his shooting slump. My point is that it's a single game and has nothing to do with who the GOAT is.
For the retards that can't understand this is a slight at the media, this is a slight at the media finding anyway to talk about how great he is even when losing by 25. I believe he is the greatest, but this is ridiculous.
All the negativity thrown at lebron he is a gem and a greatest of all time candidate regardless of his final record his stats are top tier when he retires he will still be spoken about.
I really don't think it's THAT impressive, it is quite common for people who are very professional in their field to know and remember everything about it. This applies to any field, not just sports. After years of analyzing and learning basketball plays I'd expect LeBron to remember these kinds of things.
I think what people are also missing is the fact that this was a random segment of the game that the lady asked about. We have no idea how much of the game he can recall on demand in detail. It's probably a crazy amount
Most people would remeber that i would think. You would probably be thinking/ having conversations constantly about who would come before you in a draft and where your u would possibky land. Your whole life couod possibly be determined on it.
I like that answer from Kerr. He’s Down playing what he’s doing in order to compliment him in saying that he’s a great player and normally great players are the ones who do it.
Not only does he know the play sequences, he can go to the opposition time out and tell the team their play they're running. DeRozan confirmed in a Raptors TO in ECSF a player forgot his assignment on a play the coach called, LeBron overheard the play and told the player what the play was.
Because in sports it shows a high level of focus. Unless you played basketball you might not understand, we’re taught always focus on the next play so to remember plays in that fashion is quite remarkable
please explain to me how the media is bailing him out when all the pundits literally took him apart for essentially not showing up? hating a player is one thing. LYING about it is straight up bitch nigga tactics
That's actually more impressive because a single play in soccer lasts much longer than a play in Basketball on average. There are less stops in soccer not to mention there are no time outs, there's a continuous clock (even when the ball goes out of play or is stopped for a foul). The average soccer in play time (as when the ball is in play) as roughly 61 minutes of the full 90 minutes per game compared to 48 for basketball... you do the math.
This is what they man about the game slowing down...you sense everything, and your awareness expands. That's why he can do no look passes and the like and we are amazed by it.
This the kind of memory you need at the park when everyone’s mixing up the score

Crazy impressive, that shows he cares so much about everything happening during the game as well as his understanding and intelligence for what goes on in basketball
Yes of course the GOAT has photographic memory
he had 15 points this game
Lun Hing no he doesn't lol
Haters hate.
Joey Paglia so? Still the goat
LeBron is the GOAT!
Funniest thing about this video is he remembered everything about the play but forgot Jordan Clarkson’s name
He looks so smart with glasses on. Wonder if that's on purpose
Lmao
This guy is *_HISTORICALLY_* smart
After playing some pickup games with friends, when I got home lying in bed after taking shower, I usually have most of the plays that I was involved in replaying in my head like a movie, be it a score, a rebound a steal, a block, or a turnover. Usually the more impressive the play the better I remember it.
I always wondered who else that happened to. None of my friends said it would happen with them, but this would happen to me all the time.
Both of them are downplaying the detail.
Amazing
They said great player not all of them, and specifically they are talking about great floor general not some dumb athletic player
The fact when he said Jordan Crawford
DONOVAN MITCHELL you don’t get to have your name said correctly if you not hooping lmao.
DONOVAN MITCHELL
Hes not good enough for the king to remember his name....
Thanks for putting the clip in
Gets beat by 25. Recalls a sequence from the game. Must be the GOAT😕😂
😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂💯🤣🔥🔥💯💯💨💨
Game Changer So he can't have a bad game once in awhile?? 😂 One 15 point game and 1 loss doesn't define his Greatness..
The reporter said r u concerned about being down 1 game , LeBron be like , damn son I have been down 3-1 , I ain't concerned about nothing
When you get beat bad you remember lol chill 😂😂
Hahahaha. So funny just so funnyy dude. So funny.
Alright name another player that does this on a nightly basis .. I'll wait
I agree.
facts
Exactly
Steve kerr literally says most of his guys do it and all the greats. I remember Kobe would always talk about plays.
I don't like Draymond but I can respect that he's usually not a hater he doesn't hate he congratulates!!!
Love when ppl complain about a video they voluntarily watch 🙄
I think what people are also missing is the fact that this was a random segment of the game that the lady asked about. We have no idea how much of the game he can recall on demand in detail. It's probably a crazy amount
Well draymond green said the draft players in order before him so yea
DONOVAN MITCHELL I was gonna say tht
Most people would remeber that i would think. You would probably be thinking/ having conversations constantly about who would come before you in a draft and where your u would possibky land. Your whole life couod possibly be determined on it.
It's easier to remember the exact order of the draft players in his year then it is to remember a set of plays that come at random
Bron could do that too
I like that answer from Kerr. He’s Down playing what he’s doing in order to compliment him in saying that he’s a great player and normally great players are the ones who do it.
Impressive.. He should have got standing ovation.
Dude he even remembered the time on the clock. That's crazy.
Lebron your the greatest and celtics enjoy your win because its your last Lebron will come back strong we are his fans when he up or down always
charlotte barnes Liar's. Why we're y'all folks burning his Jersey's when he abandoned ship and went to miami... 😮
Oh Hairs Of Her Head Are you dumb?? Not everyone that is a Cavs fan burned his jersey.. Quit trying to make dumbass assumptions.. 😂
Yeah all of lebron bandwagon fans will definitely switch teams when lebron does
charlotte barnes on god
U sound gay
My wife is the exact same way. She remembers so well that she often reminds me how wrong I actually am
the greatest all around player EVER ........
The grey suit, tie, and sweater...nice look. For years grey has been my favorite suit color. Even got grey in my Profile Image or Avatar.
Lebron IQ is limitless , dont ever assume Lebron doesnt have self-awareness
any one who is passionate about there craft this level of being in tune isn’t surprising
Notice that slip up “Jordan Crawford”, LeBron still traumatized from getting dunked on
To think he should have 3 more rings had kd not joined and his 2 best players not injured
I didn’t know Jordan Crawford played for the Cavs
Lil Dagga what did he say after that
Not that rare , to recall play by play from a past game , how many players on here can recall plays that they where not involved in from today??
Goat don’t @ me
Nbafanla03 yes MJ is
Nbafanla03 mj the goat
Guys I’m from the future. Lonzo is the GOAT
Nbafanla03 how can he be the goat if hes never expected to win the finals? Only the East
Nbafanla03 3-5
If ever played any sport you remember all plays. Even after many years, I remember games and plays from my professional past.
Man got embrassed and NBA media found a way to bail him out smh
Im Tylito I think you are confused
Well Boston needs to do that game plan three more times to advance.
please explain to me how the media is bailing him out when all the pundits literally took him apart for essentially not showing up? hating a player is one thing. LYING about it is straight up bitch nigga tactics
Bailed out. How the loss is already written in stone. In regards to his bad game. Great players can't have bad games?
Are you stupid. What does the fact that he got blown out have to do with fact that he's a genius
Thankyou for showing us this sending prayers to you and your family and everyone God bless you and your family and everyone
I play soccer and it's really not that serious for somebody to remember a play actually happened in a game they just done played.
Stick to soccer u dont belong here
That's actually more impressive because a single play in soccer lasts much longer than a play in Basketball on average. There are less stops in soccer not to mention there are no time outs, there's a continuous clock (even when the ball goes out of play or is stopped for a foul). The average soccer in play time (as when the ball is in play) as roughly 61 minutes of the full 90 minutes per game compared to 48 for basketball... you do the math.
show us a video
Hmmm he didn't just remember ONE play. Stop changing the narrative to try to down play what he did.
This is what they man about the game slowing down...you sense everything, and your awareness expands. That's why he can do no look passes and the like and we are amazed by it.
That pimple tho
That was crazy impressive straight up!
That's why he King James 🎩🎷 Eat, Sleep and Biz For The Game He love 👈
People say he read off the paper. Look closely, it looks like a table, it's a box score, not a play by play analysis
