5:47 my great grandma had that old lego imperial fortress. this whole MOC was just filled with trips back to my early childhood with all the sets. love it you guys. keep doing this
Pirates is by far legos best line thats an amazing setup well done.. there's a guy in TH-cam who's built some awesome moc ships you should copy some would look great on that table
Amazing to see something so expansive and yet retains a core of LEGO play. It's like Lego Sea of Thieves. And isn't some Licenced Star Wars/Clone Wars malarkey. Raise the Jolly Roger and drink up me hearties.
Done watching around 6 to 20 of your videos. I’m going to attempt to build an upgrade my Lego dinosaur apocalypse themed city(inspired by one of the Lego creations you guys go over)
This was me growing up as well. Got to visit FAO Schwartz in NYC when I was 12 and saw all the huge LEGO displays. Inspired me to build all of this! Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the kind words!
The tentacles are build with the rugged notch style Technic hinges per each segment, and then put together adding white small domes for the “suction cups) on the bottom sides. A lot of trial and error with red curved slope bricks and various wing style plates. The head was made using a vintage style red castle pointed roof and red vehicle fenders for eye sockets, as well as red vehicle hoods and more slant and curved pieces. The whole thing is fully posable and the tentacles are able to swivel to make them point whatever direction you need them.
I do own all the POTC ships in my collection, however I am a fan of traditional yellow figs and not flesh colored lol. In order to incorporate all the classic stuff with the newer builds, we opted to leave those out. We are planning however to do a smaller build based off Jack Sparrow and the POTC universe when the next movie comes along.
He was found last minute in our box of spare gigs we hide as Easter eggs on the table. We’ll probably plan some scene with him doing just that in the future.
The way to have the interior of th mountain visible, acessible and realist is to have it on a border, the open side on the exterior side sike if the.mountain was cut by the borders You can do plenty of things with this technic, interiors of everything, undergrounds and you can easily access and even have many levels Oh but there is one, the yellow fort, the same way.. interior of the build on the border
In almost every past show I put that island on the outer edge of the table lol. This time I wanted people to see the mountain side, as it was a section of a small cove in this layout. But I agree that you can do it that way and not offend the “realest “ community. We just have fun with it all. I always tell everyone that there is no wrong way to LEGO.
There is a loose minifig scale of build. Unfortunately there is just not enough room to make islands huge and still have glorious ships on the table. Many islands were literally just small patches of land and not vast acres as they were perceived to be. The main ports were usually on the larger islands, where the small shacks and pirate refuge/rum smuggler spots were on these patchwork islands. As stated in the video this is a “play style” build and not built for exact scaling or historical accuracy. We did it for fun! Hope this answers your question, despite the scaling…..I hope you liked our builds.
@@jeremysmith5092 Oh yeah, your builds are great! The scale thing is not something I specifically noticed in your work only... it seems to be a Lego thing. I was just wondering why.
I love the 2007-09 castle sails. And the whole thing fits together perfectly. Love the small islands and the fort!

Keep up the great work!
So many awesome ships and island. Great job.

hello do you have any contact email or Instagram account? Would you guys consider displaying in Brazil?

I love seeing any and all pirate Mocs! Definitely a theme that needs to return!
For real

Nah the clone wars stuff is great
Omg lego sea of thieves would be legendary
Gorgeous, I really love the islands and the mixture of classic sets with MOCs.

Thank you everyone. I can't believe that this was my first show experience and it exceeded all expectations.
So proud of these guys representing SGFLUG!
Really hope you guys check out their updated version in the future

The fact that at the time stamp 5:59 you can just see chlatt just handing out in the background is hilarious to me
Sorry not five I meant seven
Im a 90s kid. I remember going to Moscow with parents and just clinging to display panoramas at lego store. Great work! Mad respect for classic sets!
This was me growing up as well. Got to visit FAO Schwartz in NYC when I was 12 and saw all the huge LEGO displays. Inspired me to build all of this! Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the kind words!
Love LOVE! the pirate themes. It’s what I grew up with and what I still build Mocs of today. Great set-up!
7:35 nice lol
I was a little worried it would be a little too graphic for some people but it was such a part of everyday life in the British controlled ports.
Also, I rebuilt a very much cohesive Galian based off of the old Lego sets that my dad had
*in cohesive
The ship of the line is awesome, first time I saw a Lego one :D
Yes! I wish they would have talked about it.
I was at this show over the weekend and it was amazing and this was my favorite table.
Thank you Derek! We are having a blast building this theme, and I am glad you liked it! Big upgrades coming for Lincoln in November!

This is amazing
josh looking majestic with that full beard!!!
I know right. Looks great on him.
I really love your videos
แต่ละผลงานนี่ อลังการแบบแต่ละคนไม่แพ้ใครเลยจริงๆครับ
ปัญหาก็คือ เวลาจบการแสดงโชว์ จะเอากลับบ้านยังไงนี่สิครับ
It all packs into a Honda Element. 7 tables, 8 totes full of LEGO, ships, supplies, and display materials. Filled to the roof!
I wonder if there has ever been a time where the camera guy dropped the camera on a build
Wow you grew a beard!!!! Is it for the pirates? You need a patch!
Badass
Amazing!!
Imagine being able to become the size of a figure and taking a walk there in your spare time!
I was just thinking that. That would be awesome!!
All you commentators on Josh's beard missed a fun time on the Quarantinecast. What an amazing pirate build though!
Great stuff.
Awesome!!! im the suscriber 910.000 ;)
Wow
lego for the win
it's Quarantine Josh!
How did you build the kraken?

Wow josh, you certainly have changed. It's a little weird seeing you with a beard. But I like it.
Yikes! Releases the Kraken!!!
My favorite part 😉
Thought you might have had a black pearl battle in

No black sting rays on the table.
Funny enough, I am collecting some now for the table lol.
I have mad pirate stuff that would go with that Wish I could send you pictures but there is no place to send pictures
Bro Joshua looks so different with that beard
Why don’t you have sloth coming down one of the sails like he did in the movie
He was found last minute in our box of spare gigs we hide as Easter eggs on the table. We’ll probably plan some scene with him doing just that in the future.
Go to Royal parishes higher

Ahhh… back to shows again. :)
After watching a couple of these Lego builds I am starting to wonder... is there no scale to Lego building? Here the ships are as big as the islands.
There is a loose minifig scale of build. Unfortunately there is just not enough room to make islands huge and still have glorious ships on the table.
