    What a story of sadness, courage and love for life...I love the Congo, yet I live next door in Zambia and my voice is silent...am ashamed to have 'freedom' when my kin a border drawing away are in chains...AND WHAT A LOVELY LADY YOUR NIECE IS, such courage from our women folk will lead Africa to its true position on the table of fairness...

    I am African American and when I see how smart, Brave and strong these Africans are. I have to wonder why are we still at the mercy of white America. If we had an ounce of the courage of these people we would be running America.

      Why do you feel the need to conquer anyone let alone a race of people? It's 2020. Btw I'm pretty sure he ran to a white country (Sweden)

      I am from Central Africa. In the US there is corruption but there, you guys actually build things and deliver on projects even if/when overpriced. In Africa, we take the money we don't deliver anything.

      Things are no where near as bad in America as in Africa. Africa is run by blacks. Look how they do things. Whites are far more civilised.

    Just recently watched the history of DRC and leant of Patrice lumumba and why he was killed, the brutality of Mabuto seseseko and how he spoiled the country then the kabila generation , that’s wen I spotted this guy and to hear that he escaped from prison is happiness to me this morning, this life we live it’s complicated and DRC is one country that has never known peace but the people are very warm hearted and humble to be around, I enjoy their company around me , but eventually they just disappear it’s like they don’t have a permanent home, wish u all the best my brother and being a dad u are a hero to have custody of your children, it’s always the other way around

    Watching this made me so sad.. The fact that an African country whom had their own language is now speaking French.. Actually singing your national anthem in another lands language.. You could not give Black Americans a whole country we'd be running the world.. A planet full of Africans speaking their colonizers language.. SAD!!

    you replied to one of my later comments, i left earlier comments about this.
    Today it is easy to get megapixel cameras that are really tiny, just look at the built-in camera of the Iphone 4. You can have that without the iphone around it. And journalists just have that stuff nowadays, and they give it away to sources. If you are in the middle of civil war in Somalia and need that stuff, get contact to journalists and they will provide you really small cameras and bugs, smuggled in.

    If the regime is as cruel as he says, how come the government let him continue to live in Congo after he escaped while awaiting to go to Europe? I bet they knew where he was, they would have re-arrested him and charged him with prison escape but they just let him go, only that the rest did not have the means to escape but they where finally pardoned and released like 7 years later after the escape, I guess the new president wanted good relations with his masters. I always believe that there are external forces that have been benefiting from this chaos in Congo and they will do their best to keep the country in chaos and divided so that their pockets will always be full.

    ... in this case, it seems to be hidden camera. nowadays a 1 millimetre lens in a device measuring 15 x 15 x 5 millimetres, with an antenna that is just a 5 centimetre very thin wire, can get you HD resolution. Just like the camera in an iphone, but with no iphone, just the camera with storage on microSD or with no storage at all and constant wireless broadcasting.

    Had to click "dislike", because thats just what i do when dealing with channels that upload many videos with ratings disabled. If you have a youtube-channel, and upload videos where ratings are disabled, you do not deserve good ratings on ANY videos you upload on this channel.
    Also, commenting is disabled on too many videos, and thats another habit i have: when ratings are enabled, but comments are not, but i would like to comment, i click "dislike"

  • @kurtilein3
    @kurtilein3 12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    it often requires journalists half a year, 1 year, 2 years, or 5 years to get a specific story, to get to the sources, when it comes to some stories.
    So how is this being done? Dedication and persistance. Go to the prison gates every day at 9am and always ask for the same things. When guards shifts end, be there, catch them on the street and talk to them, again and again, every day.
    with enough dedication and no fear, much is possible.

    Of course shows like Earthrise, or Witness, or People & Power, or The Stream, that do not disable ratings and comments will and SHOULD suffer if the channel they are on is continuously uploading videos with disabled ratings and comments. I think the whole problem might be one incompetent person aljazeera needs to fire & replace. One way to avoid the problem would be to take some good shows out of aljazeeras main youtube-channel and move them to dedicated channels.

I believe there are the one who finance his escape too
