Thank you Rabbi Jason. My mind was so messed up after walking quite a while with the Lord. In my early 20's I had a psychotic break, after battling evil spirits (locusts) for sometime and not knowing how to get free of them. I had many people praying for me. I already had a talk therapist, so, I called her and got back into counseling. My Pastor wasn't helping. He just gave me scriptures to meditate on. I had to deal with the locusts quickly so I could even function. And, I knew the scriptures he gave me. I read the Bible all the time. The word, Word, has been playing in the back of my mind since I started reading the Word at nine. I struggled for years still, till the Lord led me to several teachers that were teaching on "Thinking about what you're thinking about". I learned to keep asking myself, "What do I believe about what I'm reading?" I already knew how not to be conformed, lol. I was one of our Fathers most rebellious children. As I grew in wisdom, I grew in spirit, and walking by my spirit increased. Watchman Nee helped a lot. My mind is the most controlled now with the help of the Holy Spirit, and my authority in Christ. I war against those locust now with the sword of faith, the Word of God. And I Stand. He's in me and beside me holding me up when the battle wages. Now, I'm fighting for the minds of others, amen, and Hallelujah!!!! I will continue in the Word. God bless you Rabbi and keep up the Good works the Lord has given you, amen!
Thank you for showing me. I have such difficulty in believing that God actually can love me as I have not always lived a good life. I pray and cry every day asking for forgiveness for my transgressions. I do not seem to be able to let it go and I know I have to.
Do you believe John 3:16? For God so loved the World (you included), that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will have Everlasting Life (life Eternal like Him). If you believe Jesus' blood saves you, then also believe His blood cleanes you from all unrighteousness. You are no longer a sinner. God sees you as the righteousness of Him when you are found in Christ. Are you in Christ? Is Christ in you? Have you been sealed till the Day of Redemption by the Holy Spirit? Has God regenerated your spirit? Is God, Jesus Christ, your main focus, or are your eyes still focused on you? Get your self-centered eyes off of you. Keep your eyes on Jesus. It's His Life you are now living. Your old self, the old man, died on the cross with Jesus when you believed. Read Paul's letter to the Romans. You are not the old you. Get that out of your head. You are a New Creation. A New Species of Being. God made you this way when you believed. You should be waking up every day rejoicing in what God has done for you, to you, in you. Like I said before. It's not about you, and what you do, it's about HIM and WHAT HE HAS DONE!!! Period!!! You are told, in the Bible, to take every thought captive to the obedience to Christ. Cast out those negative thoughts. Stand up to the enemy of your mind, and start thinking God's thoughts. Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Nobody is going to have a pity party with you. I was just like you. I was miserable. I would cry out to God, "this is hard", "I can't do this thing called "Christian". I told Him one night, I quit. I said, "If you want me to be a good Christian, you will have to make me one cause I don't know how to be one." That was exactly what He wanted. I surrendered. He moved in and changed me. Read your Bible daily and find out who God says you are, now that you are in Christ. It's up to you. You can take control of your thoughts. You can put on the "mind of Christ". The reading of the Word of God is what changes us into His image. We are in a Spiritual War, and the battle is in our minds. We have to think about what we think about and think about what God said we should think about. Changing your thinking changes your life. Get to know your spirit man, and nurture him. You are a new man and you need to learn how to be tha t new man and you'll find out how by reading your Bible, and talking to God like He's your best friend. He is. I trust you and Rabbi Simon Jacobson implicitly; your talks are simply brilliant and tie up so much of the messianic signs in a nice package...please, if you would consider giving a talk re: Mother Mary and her significance to the Jewish people and Jesus' ministry: I find that Protestants often do not understand Mary--at all--they do not understand the importance of the Jewish mother to the Jewish family or her place in decision making within the family: ie her strength...they just don't get it (this is not something that I have dreamed up--I listened to a video this week with two men going on and on about how they almost didn't join the Catholic Church because they still don't get Mary or her importance within the Jewish tradition...also, a woman in a video said something that I have often voiced: in a protestant church, Mary is brought out for the nativity set at Christmas and then goes back into the closet for the rest of the year...this has a direct effect on how they view the female part of the household and their basic respect for women...I would really, really like to hear you put together a talk re: what is the Old Testament view of Jewish women and how this led to Mary and her importance within the Jewish household and ministry of Jesus...thank you for considering this very important assignment...dts/usa
