I don’t know if you guys already noticed it but just in case, Marincess makes Zealantis waaaay broken. Since you are locked into summoning only water monsters most of the time, if you activate Zealantis effect to wipe the field you can NOT summon your opponents non-water monsters back to their side of the field which is insane.
You got a point there. Is also especial for soul obsorbion when your option is for infine life points loop...plus there's away to incorpare exodia burn to draw combo with the new link monster Iknow is fire but with the right mind and cards it can be accoplished.... my team have break ways to play exodia into meta ..if we all read our cards we can beat the best deck out there
I forgot to say when I saw both of you at YCS that I netdeck'd your Paleo Frog Dragoon deck when I got back into this game a couple of years ago, and have fallen back in love with YGO ever since! Thanks for the picture and the sticker!
Played Marincess at the YCS without Zealantis and it still held it's own against Ishizu Tear, though it was definitely held back by not being able to always clear the opponent's board. I'm very excited to rebuild with the Zealantis in mind. If anyone else hates drawing the Abyss Sharks and the Silent Angler, you can try Silent Sea Nettle. It's another free level 4 special that gives you even more recursion, which is great for putting the extra deck monsters back in grind games that isn't a brick if you draw Angler as well. Sea Nettle is also live even if you have something like a Nib token on board, which comes up sometimes. I also liked playing only one Sea Angel and fitting the Crystal Heart back in cause the Argonaut or Bubble Reef being a towers can be super nice and the Sea Angel isn't too hard to shuffle back. Also, it was wonderful to meet both of you at the event!

Lovely deck. I teter between the abyss package and the more link stlye without the toad package. Both are good. When I play the abyss package I have to be careful if I’m forced to play the sea angel line because I (too) don’t play splash mage. You definitely want some extenders there. Keep up the cool profiles. 🎉
Isn't marincess very GY relying? I opened only one marincess, like seahorse or blue tang, pretty often and my opp used crow to banish my blue slug target in GY, which did end my plays there.. Wouldn't the ishizu cards kill the deck by shuffling the blue slug add target, the link equip targets of battle ocean or the revive target of coral?
Just a note. Spring girl is a one card starter. All marincess monsters are except the one that can’t be normal summoned without tributing. Normal spring girl, link into sea angel, search dive, and proceed as normal.
Is there a reason you only play one angler because it kills the abyss shark if you draw your only copy plus they can super poly the endboard before you can wave or dweller

And the Ash Blossom sticker Logan gave me came in clutch because I had just purchased one of those metal hydration flasks so I was able to use it immediately. And as I’m typing this, I realized I never introduced myself lol. But yeah, I think I’m just gonna play casual/fun decks until Ishizu Tear has been dealt with. Tier 0 formats are not very fun imo. This is actually my first Tier 0 format and I hope it’s the last. I’ll probably play Swordsoul again, I miss it.

Marincess and Floowandereeze are my top two decks right now. Surprisingly I'm doing better now with Marincess then a few month ago as well as winning more with Marincess then Floowandereeze.
I really love to play marincess, and I got my 1st time joining WCQ 2024 in Malaysia. Among 180+ player I get my rank 22 on 1st day, really enjoy the game. ❤

Since Zelantis make you special summon the monsters back, you can lock yourself into water and you won’t be able to special summon your opponents monsters back if they aren’t water 🤔
God I love this deck. Topped the Philly regional with it (barely!) in September and am planning to bring it to the December one as well. Gotta pick up a copy of Zealantis though, that card's nuts and definitely better than Splash Mage. Personally, I've dropped Crow and Veiler in favor of Ghost Belle and Ghost Mourner respectively because a) they're a little more versatile b) they're not Light/Dark so they play around the Bystials and c) Marincess doesn't OTK very well and the chip damage from Mourner comes up sometimes. I'm also main decking Gozen Match because nobody gets to have fun this format (and it's a nice trick with Stealth Kragen).
Love this profile! It's such a cool deck and like you said the fact that it's bystial-proof is huge. I may switch the Ashes for Belle but maybe it is possible to have too much GY hate 😂
Side deck a sea stealth 2 and ocean lord Kairyu-Shin? Since tears are dark they can't control but one, since marincess can special summon themselves and with cynet mining. Also sea stealth 2 will allow a water monster to be ss from gy in battle phase everytime.
Ik you guys have been firm on 2 dives But honestly, 3 dives 3 cynets is really the way to go I’d even go as far as to say I’d play 3 dives over 3 minings For the main reason being ash…getting ashed on cynet sucks a lot more than getting ashed on Dive, it’s 1 for 1 instead of 2 for 1, and yeah Ik you want the Marincess in grave, but they only work in grave if you have other Marincess fodder I always search the field soell so dive is always live
I'm confused about the Worldsea Dragon. It banishes all monsters on the field and then special summons as many of those same banished monsters by it's effect in either face up or face down defense position. It can't bring itself back since it is a Link monsters and Link monsters can't go into defense position? Great deck profile as always, just a little confused about this water dragon dude and how to use it properly

ghost mourner is better against tear than eff veiler because veiler can only be used during opponents mainphase but ghost mourner can always work and tear loves to play on your turn
We side gozen match. Right now it’s just not that strong. Spright can put it in engine by just getting to smashers. Most of the good tears are all dark. It’s not main deck worthy in our eyes, that’s why we side it instead of main it. But it is all 110% personal preference:)
Zelantis is worded so that you are the one summoning their monsters back. If you’re water locked, you summon as much as possible, but if your opponents monsters aren’t water, they do not return as you’re the one that’s summoning them back & you are the one who is also locked

In that instance would you even be able to activate zealantis? Since the effect says banish then summon back?

It mentions in either face up attack or face down defense. So for links, it would be the first option
