We have two dogs, plus 3 girls. We got our cat first. She and our first dog were rescue animals. We love all three of our fur babies, hehe

We have two cats. Although, I have an infant who is not yet a toddler I had both of my cats when I did inhome childcare and both of them are great with kids. They will let the kids pull their hair and tail. Lay on them and carry them around and they have never scratched or bit them so depending on the cat some of them can work with kids. :) Great topic!

Jack Jack is just awesomeness on four legs! Schnoodles are great after all. If you have the will to get a dog you can find a way/breed that will suit you.
I don't really have the "death issue" for my 1-yr old since our dog is already super old. But for the future, I think getting a second dog five or so years after the first and then a third when I think the first is going downhill will be the best option for us. It makes consoling easier and I can explain "That's how life works."

my 15 month old is the same with our dog he absoloutely loves him! but you have to protect the dog more than the baby because tom doesnt know how rough he is being! and thanks to bosco tom is not scared of animals at all because he thinks all animals are as gentle as our dog which does make me worry slightly but im also glad lol. thanks for the vid.

That's just what I wanted to comment about. Passing away of pets really made me learn how to deal with death... Aware of how sudden it can come and also how it can be a release of pain and misery (for example putting down a your loveable family dog). It'll always be heartbreaking, but it'll also be a valuable lesson.
Now I'll quickly give my two dogs a big bone for them to chew on :)
