Lyrics:
I met so many men and
It's like their all the same
My appetite for lovin'
Is now my hunger pain
And when I'm feelin' sexy
Who's gonna comfort me
My only problem is
Their insecurity
(Tired of bein' alone) Yeah, yeah
(Sick of arguin on the phone) Yeah, yeah
(Are you tellin' all your friends) Yeah, yeah
(That your n***a don't understand) My love
Cause I'm real
(The way you walk, the way you move, the way you talk)
Cause I'm real
(The way you stare, the way you look, your style, your hair)
Cause I'm real
(The way you smile, the way you smell, it drives me wild)
Cause I'm real
And I can't go on without you
Girl, I've been thinkin' bout this relationship
And I wanna know is this as good as it gets
Cause we've been through the worst times and the best times
But it was our time, even if it was part-time
Now they've been lookin' at me, smilin' at me, laughin' like we wasn't happy
But not knowin', ever growin' and we're gettin' married
Hard lovin' and straight thuggin'
Bitch, I ain't doin' this s**t for nuttin'
I'm here to get it poppin', hoppin, let's ride up in the Benz
Hair blowin' in the wind, sun glistenin' off my skin, hey
I'm nasty, heh, you know me
But you still don't f**k with your baby

God, I miss these days and this music. I wish the radio would go back to that soft late 90s early millenium R&B.
This was made in the 2000s
William B Hence "early millennium"!
yep sweetie my fav
No. 2001 is the early millimum. 2000 is the era end. Their was no year zero. So 1-100 is the 1st. 101-200 is 2nd.
+William B You're still wrong. Technically any period of a thousand years is considered a millennium, look it up.

jennifer lopez didn't steal anything from anyone, she paid and credited the background singers and everyone who worked with her.
jennifer lopez hasn't ghost singers, she sings her own songs. her voice is present from beginning to end in all her songs, the backup singers accompany her only in some choirs as in any song by any singer.

That realisation that Mariah Carey first sampled the beat to this song and was already working with Ja Rule to produce it. But in a twist of events, after Ashanti sang the demo, Jo Lo stole the song wholesale and released it as her own, under the direction of Tommy Mottola. You still can hear Ashanti's background vocals in this.

So much LIFE and SOUL and COLOR in this video. They can't shoot a video like this today if they wanted to. The 90s & Early 2000s was the Golden/Silver age when God was here. Now we live in the Dark Age aka Last Days music isn't the same anymore life period isn't the same anymore. Back in these days life felt like you were in a whole another Dimension like Heaven on Earth. I'm Blessed to have experienced this decade.
Totally agree, they Dnt make em like Dey used 2
YEAH... that's because of GaGa... this is what happens when fucked up people take over the industry!
I remember that area so distinctly, it felt like everybody was chilling together and caring about each others... So far from now where everybody is a selfish evil elf!!
alexis deminati Nobody back then would have called themselves monsters, with their paws or (whatever the fuck it is) up and proud to be fucked up!
You said it, my man! Funny thing is, this was before everybody had the HD TV's and stereos that "bring color & sound to life". Now that this HD format is everywhere & in everything, suddenly things just don't seem as colorful as they used to be... But back in the day, there was life & soul in the music and in the videos just like you said - and thank God we have the ability to look back on and be thankful we experienced that era!

This song takes me back to 4th grade. 2001, it was such a wonderful time to be alive. I remember summers being almost like a movie, so full of wonder, magic, when everyone loved being outside, chasing ice cream trucks, listening to music on our porches, and knowing all of your neighbors, and you had at least Huge crush. @@achacyrille4789 I get what you're saying, as I was in high school in the late 90s/early 20002, but I couldn't disagree more about there being no good music today. Yes, there are a lot of unoriginal, "copycats" out there(especially when it comes to white rappers), but there are also more people making music than ever before, and who have access to far better tools to make said music(and make it sound good), people starting younger than ever, people who have access to gear coaching, great producing, etc., and best of all a platform(i.e. the internet/social media) to put their music out on, be heard, receive feedback, etc.
I actually think it's freaking incredible how many great songs/artists there are today. There's tons of songs/videos that that have many hundreds of millions, if not _billions_ of views. That is just mind boggling to me.

One thing ive learnt is that most people will always love music from their childhood. Noatalgia is crazy. This song is an absolute classic imo. It was better being a child pre-smart phones because we could enjoy the moment, in the moment. Thats something that can never be replaced or repeated again. Soo true. I also miss how celebrities were more mysterious then. Almost elusive. Now it seems like every celeb has an Instagram/Twitter and they become over exposed. I also remember how a music video premiering on TV was a big deal...
man we are in .COM generation,so no celebrities no more
Ida N Actually, twitter and FB are not that bad. Those things gives celebs change to speak how things really are or who they really are. There are so many stupid rumors about them and in twitter they can communicate directly with fans.
