No one should be in a toxic relationship for the sake of the kids. The issue of fatherless children is, in my opinion, due to having children or of wedlock, not divorce. I'm going through a divorce for the sake of my well-being, and i know that my son watches me and will ultimately have a first-hand understanding of what a man should and should not deal with. I will also be able to raise him correctly separately.

If a man is sitting in prison because he was trying to impress a woman, that indicates poor judgement and immaturity. Don’t try to scapegoat the woman. My father was a man who demonstrated his character through his commitment toward his family; he was the sole provider and never complained about it-indeed, this was his job in his mind. Though I grew up with this example, I do not expect anyone to take care of me. I recognize the world has changed and my parents gave me the tools to adjust to whatever circumstances I found myself- through emphasis on education. I guess it was a different time. A man of character need not “prove” himself to anyone- his actions, character and integrity is all that is needed.
