Thanks reason I asked is because some time it’s manufacture fault so it must be checked before being use.here in uk we use spirit levels.i have brought plumb bob from Pakistan but don’t know if it is accurate so there must be way checking for accuracy.
@@mohammedsaleem7912 spirit level is quite commonly used here in Pakistan as well.. but masons don't buy the concept of using spirit level for bricklaying... they are accustomed to using plumb Bob.. even Shutterers also use only plumb bob.. plumb Bob is very simple.. u can make it urself as well.. not at all technical enough to feel it could malfunction...

@@dmrn2009 I am asking the question based on my personal experience. So I Wana figure out where was I wrong? I have an extra precise water level which indicated the wall is perfectly vertical. The laser level also verify it but the plum Bob didn't. So I think it need some calibration. Can you help me to sort out please?
@@khalidmahmood8128 maybe in that case the plumbline is not well made, manufacturing fault. This can be verified in the following way. Measure the distance on kenda, from the hole to the edge. Measure the radius of latu. These two measurements should be equal. In other words the the length of kenda must be equal to the diameter of latu. And the holes must be precisely in the middle. If that is not the case, then consider buying a good one.
@@dmrn2009 Here we go. Unfortunately I am ignorant about the method to know as to whether the drilled hole is perfectly centered or otherwise without having particular tool. Of course the measurements you told--- couldn't be made without particular tools. And it's not appropriate to carry so many tools for the the purchase of a plumbob especially in our Desi society. That's why I asked about the calibration or JUGAR in other words. And I am sure this person must have some kind of JUGAR for this problem.
@@khalidmahmood8128 with the measurements you would know where the asymmetry is, and how much. Then you can file the kenda or latu accordingly. But all this will be inefficient. I do not see any other way of easily calibrating them. Checking the plumbline against a wall while purchasing would be an alternative. But again I can safely assume the plumb lines available from stores are sufficiently accurate and do not need to be modified or adjusted. As to why a certain plumbline is not matching with a water level or laser level: the source of error might be in the details of the measurement. For example an uneven wall where some bricks are out of alignment however the average plane of the wall is perfectly vertical. The measurement must be repeated with several instruments preferably with a straight rod pegged into ground, instead of a brick wall.

It works on principle of gravity... there is no mechanics involved.. so no need to worry about its functionality..
