Buckets not Pipes - Deeded Water Source from 1800's: Small Things Done Well Part 32

In the deed for our homestead property, there is mention of a water source we are allowed access to. The well is about 1000 feet from our property but I was amazed to see it still existed. However, the deed clarifies we can take water using pails or buckets but specifically forbids the use of pipes for water transportation.
