A update would have been ideal; I dugged up weeds, 2 areas 10"x 5" void if grass I will plant seeds. The best thing to do for that yard is spray. What will Jason do next! Seed or Sod! Aedin
It's hard when a customer wants a nice lawn and calls you guys up but won't or can't spend the money to do it and you guys get called every name in the book then fired. I use to have some guys that came and took care of my lawn and they got it looking much better then I even thought they could in the first year. I moved and thought I want to try doing my own lawn. The front had three BIG trees so one got cut down and the others trim. I started studying and was like wow much more to this then I thought. A few thousand dollars latter and I have the best looking yard in the block. Now yes I spent a ton of money up front but I have weed control and Fungus control that will last for a few years plus I got way more fert then I needed because I knew it was going to go up in price. TTTF so I will see how she holds up this summer but it's good and healthy now.
I know this is an old video and I never had my own company but having a truck with one 200 gallon tank, one 100 gallon and on 25 gallon tank saved me tons in these situations I’d fill all 2 full of water. If I only needed 25 of something, I can do that many times a day. If I need 200 gallons of deep root fertilizer, I can mix once and do it. I’ve definitely sprayed double chemical but I don’t think it’s good practice to do and frequently stresses the grasses you’re trying to keep
I love your videos, they are very helpful. Do you know how to kill dollar weed or pennywort in zoysia grass without killing the grass. My neighbor’s yard is full of weed and last year I put too much sta green herbicide product on it and it burned my grass. So I’m using chicken manure and giving that area nutrients to grow it back.
tough yard! im always concerned to run Metsulfuron around trees. Ive got a yard that is mixed bermuda and St Aug covered up in Oxalis....got a favorite selection for a yard with both those grass types? I did round one with a 3 way, but didn't get even half of it. What Gallons per 1k were putting out of that lesco gun? pretty heavy droplet size and volume of water from what I could tell.
Just a question, and I'm no liberal haha , but why not recommend actually seeding with more clover or rye in those shaded areas! Even rye under trees in the summer here in the south will survive the heat. Fully uniform clover actually looks really good too in yards like this, better than spraying chemicals all over the place haha.
I am in Alabama and there are very few places where rye will do well in my area. Just do hot in the summer. Clover also does great in spring but not so good in summer. Just my experience but I think you idea may work in some areas where it is not quite as hot
@@lawncarelife gotcha I totally understand. I'm in eastern NC and rye is obviously only good for over seeding in the winter, but I've managed to keep it going in shaded areas even with Temps hitting 100, clover does good for the most part year round here with some struggles during droughts. I seeded bermuda and purposely seeded clover with it on my property, more just bc I like the way it looks.
That customer should just roundup the whole yard and take the bullet and plant a zoysia that will work for how bad that yard is considering the shade and abundance of weeds
I don't want to tell you how to run your channel. If you don't have a solution for the problem, saying you will take care of the primary complaint is only important to the client, not to us. I would recommend, in the future, explain what decisions you made and why,. Try to convey the skill knowledge, as opposed to the technical knowledge.

Love seeing these types of videos! That property is horrible lol! Follow-ups on the weed damage would be nice to see later on.
Thank you for supporting the channel
Would love to see the follow up!

Thanks Jason. This is a very helpful video. I have several yards that are similar.
Glad to help

I been trying to start a lawn treatment business like you have. Appreciate what you do
Jason, can you please please please do a video on getting rid of clumping fescue? It is running rampant out here in OK
Nice video! Just wondering if all the herbicides mentioned are safe to use where homeowner uses well water system. Thanks!

That one definitely has a ceiling. A little surprised you took it.

T-zone 1.2 oz to 1.5 oz (per gallon) or Per 1000 sq ft 10 to 14 days put a little surfactant to make it sticky
you use methylene urea as your slow release?
This looks like my old neighborhood in Pelham
If you have both palisades zoysia need Bermuda, what will win in a sunny area?
depends on the percentage of each, but with that said, all things being equal, Bermuda will outpace the Zoysia, it grows too fast.
Where are you located. I've been to your website and could not figure out what state you're in
Alabama
Results?
My lawn looks exactly like this lol 😆 I got it from my previous owner
I would be worried you kill the weeds and then have a big dead spot. Sometimes, I leave weeds versus dirt.
Best comment! Same with my 4+ acre lawn.
Mike Serant from Microlife Organics calls them lawn herbs. I liked that a lot. I can’t get behind using chems.
Isn't there grass that can grow in dense shade?
Jason that my lawn to the T weed all of them.

Hard to fix without money!
Do you have any customers worry about runoff pollution?
That customer should just roundup the whole yard and take the bullet and plant a zoysia that will work for how bad that yard is considering the shade and abundance of weeds
Round up? Glycophophate poisoning is in our food, is cancer a better choice to you than a yard full of weeds?!?
@@julivictoria4501 so you don’t eat food huh?
Where is the actual advice?!

I do not see my favorite weed.
