    Hi, I am just now putting my xrft studio together and am wondering about your glass doors on the billy bookcase and also the cabinets with the glass doors that are behind your upholstered chairs., Do you need to custom order the doors? And does IKEA do that? Also if you recall, what I the mane of the cabinet behind the chairs. I love the depth of that. Thank you for any help you can provide.

    • @ScrappyWife
      @ScrappyWife  ปีที่แล้ว

      They sell those glass doors at IKEA, just an add-on to the cabinet. Super easy, just a little pricier than solid doors. The cabinets behind the chairs are part of the HAVSTA line - www.ikea.com/us/en/p/havsta-glass-door-cabinet-with-base-white-clear-glass-s79275119/

    One more question: the Alex drawers are different heights on the Ikea site, but all yours seem to be flush on the top, or are they? Looks like the two on the side have wheels but the one in the middle does not? Is the top resting on the drawers?

    • @ScrappyWife
      @ScrappyWife  ปีที่แล้ว

      The top is resting on the one in the middle and braced in the back. The two on wheels can be pulled out still, but I did the wheels to bring the heights similar to each other. They aren’t exact though.

    Thank you for a nice video of your craftroom-I am always amazed how people can afford to redo a large area with all new stuff and a new bathroom too, but then noone knows if that person is already well off or not and when I saw you Patreon wall ( really cute) and I was torn, one part of me thought what a sweet thing to have a grateful for my patreons picture, but then sadly the green ugly creature inside me said, no wonder she can have such a fabolous craft space with all the money that comes in every month w patreons… I have to say I am torn w this patreon stuff-why are we ao willing to shell out money for youtubers to show us how ” I live the life if an artist” when in reality they are not artists(= living on selling their proper art, not the dream of living as an artist?) But perhaps I think so becaiuse I am not American and in America it is Ok to earn just on dreams? This is not spitefulness towards this nice lady but a general thought about the idea of earning a very nice living of behggibg people to support an ” artists” life for nothing in return but a sticker or a photocopied ” art card” a month?

    • @ScrappyWife
      @ScrappyWife  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for your comment. I think you are grossly underestimating the work that goes on behind the scenes for all things that happen here on TH-cam and all of the extra perks & content that I provide to my patrons. Many people are more than happy to consume a ton of free content here on TH-cam without acknowledging that a real life person put a lot of work and often a lot of money into creating each and every video. Feel free to support on Patreon or not, but maybe don't discount someone that is working hard, spreading positivity, and yes, following their dreams/calling.

    • @SUSSDUE
      @SUSSDUE 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank for your kind answer. I do absolutely realise there is a lot of work doing videos but to be fair it is voluntary, no one is forced to do a ytchannel, it is the creators own choice to do it. What I do not like is that people sell ” dreams” a surface and nothing real and expects people to pay for it. Being a daughter of an artist I know the hard struggle to sell proper art and because of that I suppose I resent people just earning thousands of dollars each month just selling ” dreams” and ” my life as an artist” , sometimes without even anything in return to those who pay. I suppose it comes down to the way one is brought up and the society one lives in, and, in the end, it is not like YT-creators drag money from patreons like a dentist extrating a tooth, it is all voluntary. But still, and now I speak very generally of Ytubers, not targeting you, I find it hard to see how tech savvy and sell-smart ” artists” can earn a lot showing horrid art, while proper artists who try to live on actually selling art are struggling financially. But I suppose it is a struggle known for centuries-the world is not fair but up for grabs for those who know how to do it.
      I am sure your patreons love what you do and are happy to pay each month and I wish you all the best w your channel.

    • @ScrappyWife
      @ScrappyWife  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @SUSSDUE - your judgement of my art is unfair and unfounded. You are also operating under the assumption that I make “thousands of dollars” a month doing this. You have no idea of the work I do for my channel and my Patreon. You are judging me because I do not make a more “classic” form of art, but I do provide education and positivity for many people. Your comments are hurtful.

    Love your idea of using a ladder for storage. I have an old wooden one that I took apart and use to hang textiles and pretty jewelry. Then the other side of the ladder I show off a collection of handmade Kanthas from India.

    WOW Elisa!!!😀🎉🎉🎉 congratulations on your new extremely well planned, organized, beautiful craft room!!!😀❤️🙏🎉🌈🌈🌈I just moved into my brand new mobile home, I needed to downsize. I am using the biggest room for my craft room! I decided to put my desk area in the center of the room, I always wanted to do this before! I love it! So all of my cube units and cube organizers with drawers from Michael’s go all the way around the whole room, except for my two metal racks, that store, all of my stamps and dies. I still needed so many ideas for where to put things and boy. Oh, boy, did I get them from you!! 😀❤️👍🏼 I am definitely going to order the fingernail polish shelves, for all of my washi tape. I am also going to put up some wooden shelves with spice rack organizers for all of my acrylic, paints, and sprays. I wish I had seen this video before I moved here, I would’ve done a lot more similar to your room if I had seen it sooner! I would REALLY REALLY LOVE to know where you bought those lights that come on when you open your drawers?! How do you get them to work? That is the big question?? Thank you so so much for sharing your gorgeous craft room! I totally think you should teach classes, you have the best personality to do that! I was going to do that too, but about 10 years ago, but instead, I’ve had a few neck surgeries and other health issues that limit me to what I can do. But it’s all good, I know God has certain plans for me, I am just trusting in Him!!!🙏🙏🙏 I am sure He will help you accomplish all of your dreams and goals, He is good! Keep up all of the amazing work you are doing, you should be so very proud of yourself!!😊❤️🙏🎉🌈👍🏼 Liz

    I would like to place an order for 3 of those pen/ marker holders that you made. Whaaaaat? You actually made those!!! It’s really cool! I can’t afford that machine but it is really cool! Out of curiosity, is that how people are making those colorful plastic glue holders all over Etsy?

    Thanks for the updated tour. Very inspirational. I am glad your bathroom is done. One thought comes to mind. I saw towels, all good for family. A suggestion for when you have classes....remove the towels, install a paper towel dispenser, and also a wall soap dispenser

    • @ScrappyWife
      @ScrappyWife  ปีที่แล้ว

      That will probably look a little too industrial for me, but I can certainly put out some disposable towels as an option, instead of installing a whole dispenser.

    • @BarbBColorReader
      @BarbBColorReader ปีที่แล้ว

      That's good, and a soap pump bottle on the counter at least. (It's more sanitary for a class to share) Both can be removed after class.

    Totally appreciate your organizational aesthetic, I am the same way. I buy thing because I love how they look and I consider it a form of decoration. For me if it's out of sight, it's out of mind . Thanks so much for all of your videos and the time it took you to put it all together I really enjoyed your insights and reasonings for why you did things the way that you did and why you didn't opt for a sterile white design space. I love intermixing vintage or eclectic pieces! Have an awesome time in your awesome space!!!🥰😊

    Such an inspiring place to craft!! Well done! I'm in the process of designing stages of my outdoor she shed and theses are great ideas! Particularly interested in your frame TV and where you got that as well as your ceiling mount filming equipment!! Do tell!!

    • @ScrappyWife
      @ScrappyWife  ปีที่แล้ว

      The frame TV can be ordered pretty much anywhere - I picked mine up at the military exchange :). The ceiling mount is actually just a phone holder designed to attach to a wall, but I attached it to the ceiling for overhead shots.
