Just in case anyone needs it; you can use mounting putty for a strong hold in an apartment (like for her lights) that won’t stain your walls (if you get the right brand) and you need such a small amount that you can keep it forever to hang things up.
My dad used the gorilla double-sided mounting tape to stick our doorbell camera against the brick texture outside and it’s holding up pretty good so I think you could use that to stick your lights onto your ceiling

Velcro command strips that hold enough weight. You could also try wrapping the tape in a circle and sticking it to it and see if that works first

Not sure how much work you're willing to put into getting your living space to be perfect, but if you like the design or shape of something, spray painting it a matte black or the color you want could work. It's just more work and time. :)
For those light pucks there should be a screw hole, it’s might be under the sticker layer if there is one but if there is you should be able to just use a screw to hang it or even a flush mount interlocking bracket, I hope that helps🙃

for the vase, u can spray paint it matt black. that’s what my uncle did as a little DIY, got any cute vase and got like a $10 matt black spray paint can and spray painted it and it came out perfect
I’m not sure if you’re into LED lights but I think it would really liven up your living room if you put LED lights under your couch or table since they have all that space under them

I know it’s months later since you uploaded this lol but I’ve been watching moving Volgs because I’m moving myself lol but for you lights you want on your ceiling for the command strip, gorilla glue tack strips are so bomb and they don’t come off until you take it off and it doesn’t leave a residue behind! You can try the Velcro strips. Tati I one side to the ceiling and the other side to the light. That way if you need to take them down and change the batteries you can just stick them right but you where they were.
