    Thank You I am definitely going to make. Powdered garlic expensive in Australia. I never thought I could make until I watched you. Also I loved the 'I love you Dad' message. Warmed my heart. 😊

      Just harvested my earliest planting and they are curing now! So exciting! I have another whole raised bed. I need to remember to make the garlic powder.

      @@TheLazyGardenerNJ Looking forward to your ideas on spacing. I planted in grow bags and a raised table bed and both are going well The only spacing issues I ended up with was those small cloves in the garlic that are multiple but look like one. I thinned those.

    So what if i have ab issue of the powder clumping in the jar and sticking together

    • @TheLazyGardenerNJ
      @TheLazyGardenerNJ 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a good question. I would say most likely you're not dehydrating enough. It's should be crispy. However sometimes it clumps if it sits on the shelf too long. If you bang your container on the table or against a hard surface it should all break up if it's properly dry.

    What brand dehydrator and what brand grinder do you have? Thank you.

    • @TheLazyGardenerNJ
      @TheLazyGardenerNJ 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's an old Excelsior 9 tray but they still sell almost the exact same thing. I used to wish it had a timer but phone controlled timers are so cheap and amazing. And the grinder broke! So I got an oxo. It's vastly superior, very pleased and I use it for coffee too! Here is a link. Or you can use any coffee grinder but a burr grinder is best for a really uniform grind. smile.amazon.com/OXO-BREW-Conical-Coffee-Grinder/dp/B07CSKGLMM?pd_rd_w=SDSHZ&pf_rd_p=654426bb-d9e0-46ff-b0bb-c0819dce172b&pf_rd_r=6QX6TW1TZN7NR2VFXW42&pd_rd_r=70e9d891-75ed-4bd9-ab2b-8d2985893221&pd_rd_wg=A2nSJ&psc=1&ref_=pd_bap_m_rp_1_sc

    How does that compare to store bought garlic powder? Is it more potent?

      territorialseed.com/ I just checked and it seems to be in stock on sale. If that doesn't work you can plant garlic from the grocery store but I would make sure it's organic

    Can you use the oven if you do not have the hydrator

    • @TheLazyGardenerNJ
      @TheLazyGardenerNJ 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely, if your oven can do 110° or close to it. And if it has a convection setting use that. Also it will smell strong for a bit so turn on a venting fan if you have it.

    I peel galirlic then put under the sun... In 1

    • @TheLazyGardenerNJ
      @TheLazyGardenerNJ ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sorry to hear that. They should not be left in the sun. They need a hot shaded area to cure. How many bulbs did you grow?

      I peel maybe 1kls of garlic. Sun verry hot. Why garlic broke!? I throw not good. Super black like a burning..

    • @TheLazyGardenerNJ
      @TheLazyGardenerNJ ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not cure garlic in the hot sun. It will literally cook the garlic. There is something called black garlic that is good but if yours smells bad it sounds like it's ruined.

    Handling a lot of garlic will indeed give your skin a chemical burn, very uncomfortable then your skin will peel.....ALWAYS wear gloves
