      Thanks for the support!! 😘 And I got them from world market. But I have seen some at Ross dress for less, home goods and Target. But if you have a world market home near you, get them from there and ask how you can get coupon codes. If I remember correctly I saved 30%off. 🤗

      @@escolero08 They look amazing I was wondering was their any bugs/insects on them when you picked them fresh?☺

    • @escolero08
      @escolero08  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chrissy212e hi love! Yes there were. I wore gloves and tried to kill the ones I saw. It was mainly spiders and some little red bugs. With the coat of hairspray plus me going around and killing them it helped a lot. There were some that had ants! So I shook them until I saw none haha.

    Fantastic content Angela! A couple of questions if you don't mind: i) What's the most popular style of pampas grass these days? There seems to be Cortaderia Selloana and Cortaderia Sacuara and maybe there are others too or they themselves vary. ii) What would be considered large in terms of height if someone wants "large" or "tall"?

    I love this!!!! Can I ask what part of the U.S. you're in? I know you said you went driving around and found some but I'm just wondering where it usually grows! I'm from Iowa and haven't really been able to find anything even similar except smaller reed grass!

      Hi! I'm in California. In the LA area more inland (Ontario, ca). I know there are alot of them growing in the San diego area. But they are everywhere. I never noticed them until I actually was looking for them. I know they grow in Texas too. I found some growing by side walks, I asked a person if I could have some from their home. I found a bunch near freeways, and one of my neighborhoods had some too. (Hence the adventure haha) hopefully this helps. But they do sell the seeds on Etsy but they take four years to grow 😭

      I see this in the LA area by Venice Beach and Marina del Rey. If you are in LA, I see them by Lincoln Blvd and the 90 fwy. Also the flower mart in DTLA has this grass as well.

    how long can you keep your pampas grass? (shelf life)

    • @escolero08
      @escolero08  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      According to my florist they said they have had their pampas grass for 30 years now. If you don't mess with it and spray it, it will keep. So far mine are fine and it's been more than 2-3 months now

    Hi, my pampas grass sheds a lot! How do I stop the pampas grass from shedding?

    • @escolero08
      @escolero08  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi!!! So depending what type of pampas grass you have shedding is inevitable. But what I'm doing for the ones that are shedding a bunch this is what I did/doing still 1) spray hairspray 2) wait three weeks and give it a heavy coat of hairspray 3) wait a couple months and give it another coat of hairspray 4) I'm actually going to give it another coat for all my pampas grass so I will do a video so you can see what I mean.
      So it's really hard for the seeds not to fall but I've had my pampas grass sitting in a vase and I don't see any fall out. But if I swing the pampas grass that do shed alot back and forth alot of the seeds do go everywhere. But not as bad as it did when I first got them. Hope that helps

    Hey, how are they holding? I am getting married in november, so I am deciding if I should wait a little more to cut and dry some for my wedding. Do you pretend to paint some of them in some color? Thank you so much!

      @escolero08  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Congratulations! They look exactly like how I cut them off. I will do an update soon.
      That depends on you. I know a bunch of them are thinning out so if you see them full then go for it (I don't see why not) 🤗. I haven't explored coloring them. I'm just keeping them natural since I do prefer that look 🤭

      Angie Li hello! So I currently have pampass grass I bought and I have it in water because I am scared to dry them out yet because my wedding is pushed to September too! Should I dry them out now or leave them in water? What do u think?

    • @escolero08
      @escolero08  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@espinoza06 Hi!! Well when you first clip them you are not supposed to put them in water. Check the stems and see if they have any mold. If they do just clip some of it off. If they don't I would go ahead and dry them. Its not going to hurt it. If you are worried you can dry one stem and test it out. I dried mine back in October and my wedding got pushed back to Sept 20 and they are looking so much better. I've noticed they are getting fluffier and some are turning white. Still looking full! I can do an update if you want to see them?! 😊
