Okay. Straight up. THIS video is the reason why people send you guys stuff that's so meaningful. The GENUINE emotion in your reactions brings a tear to my eye, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Yes, you guys just play video games, but the emotional connection between you and us is staggeringly real. We acknowledge all the hours of editing that has to go into something just for a laugh and reward you soundly. Not out of obligation, but out of respect. Seriously. Thank you. Forever.
xBigMitch224x James Small gets a picture of a box set. Nothing more. As for Billy... all right, yeah, the driver of the shame car deserves a reward for fulfilling that most necessary duty.
I love jerky enough that I refuse to buy it, because I know I can't stop eating it. Also it's really expensive for just being shitty strips of flesh. That are wonderful.
I don't know why this is creepy when it's 100% true. 10-15$ for a few salty strips of deer ass. Or cow. Or whatever cute animal it's made out of. It'ssogoodthough.
I really wish they hadn't stopped the mailbag, I was in the process of making a weighted replica of the "gurren lagan insane boxset" OUTER cardboard box, so they'd see it and flip their shit again, and then when they opened it it'd be filled with dragon dildos
I have never seen four guys so reluctant to receive such awesome gifts. But on a more serious note. Guys giving Liam one of those box sets, "clapping" you have shown just how much you guys are real bro's with one another. You truly are the Super Best Friends.
I actually teared up when everyone agreed without hesitation to giving Liam the Gurren Lagann set. You guys truly deserve the title of Super Best Friends.
the ending was heart wrenching, everyone committing to giving Liam this amazing thing they all want and them all agreeing on it shows they actually care about Liam, this was awesome, keep up the great work
Man, so many emotions at the end! I can't handle it! But that was really nice the way you automatically decided to give the second set to Liam. True friendship guys.
This episode is the purest example of how much we loved them. I still love them. All of them. They've gotten me through toigh times, and rewatching helps now that I'm dealing with adult stuff. See you, space cowboys.
In this era of television turning to shit, youtube videos and radio/internet podcasts have become the only form of real daily entertainment for me. That is why you guys are the real stars and deserve nothing but the best for keeping us happy and joyful.
Whoa... Woolie, that was an immensely selfless and amazing thing to do for Liam. I can only speak for myself but I have more respect for you and Matt & Pat for doing it than I have for people I actually know. You're all wonderful ones. Now if you'll excuse me, I have something in my eye...
Your fans are literally the sweetest things ever. We love you guys, you may just only play video games but sometimes you just get us through the day, make our bad days better because you can put a smile on our faces. Keep going strong and remember that we love you!
Wow, i could tell the Zaibatsu were on the verge of tears when the Gurren Lagann sets came out. For them to realize that not one, but two people appreciated their work enough to spend $500 on something for them must have tugged on their heart-strings (even Pat's). Kudos to alex and adam. And kudos to the rest of the fans. You guys being awesome fans inspires these guys to keep being awesome people.
I wouldn't worry about the cost of things so much. People know how much they can afford. You provide countless, fucking countless hours of entertainment. I still watch the heavy rain playthrough and almost vomit with laughter every time.
Guys, just think about it. Imagine just hanging out with your friends, playing video games and having a great time. Then people who have never even met you, love you. They care about you. They love you so much they're willing to send you $500+ worth of stuff. These guys truly have the greatest fans in the world. We love you best friends... Keep on rockin it.
No Woolie, you guys are unbelievable. That's why the gifts in the mailbag are so epic, because it's hard to say thank you and make sure that the person receiving the thanks understands the weight, the emotional value, of it so the fans do everything they can to make sure the message pulls through.
Don't be worried about the costs of the gifts. You're going to have to trust the gift givers are making sound economic decisions. But I think you should be worried about the quantity! If you keep getting this much mail, you guys will end up with way more than you can appreciate.
It's so cool to see how much they really appreciate this kind of stuff and they don't let it go to their head. I just think it's awesome how humble they are about it all.
Guys, I am super shit poor, but I'm super glad some rich dudes send you things, because seeing you literally shaking is the best reward a fan could ask for!
I'd probably act the same way if someone just gave me a collector's Blu-ray set that cost $500 to $600 each. Also that was sweet of them to give the second set to Liam.
I looked it up. Its still 700$. To put it into perspective, this was more than 1400$ worth of gifts in this one video. for those who are still freaking out.
What the FUCK...giving that to Liam like that actually made me cry. I'm almost a 28 year old man damnit why am I crying at 6am on a Friday morning because 2 crazy dudes gave 4 awesome dudes crazy things and 3 of the awesome dudes gave a rising star an amazing gift.
***** Well he already said that while this was filming his dad was in the hospital so his mind was somewhere else during the entire video. He said that his dad is doing better now though.
Oh my god...OH. MY. GOD. Adam and Alex, man that...wow as soon as I saw the first box they got and coincidentally AFTER just finishing Gurren Lagann like today. Wow, that first box just...Congratulations, MAXIMUM HYPE JELLY ACHIEVED. Then that second box came out, it just had to. Oh my god, wow you guys are the fucking best. Oh wow, so many emotions from just seeing that box of treasure and how much it costs. The look they made for each box is exactly the look I gave. You guys are the fucking best. No seriously, you guys are as hype as the Best Friend Zaibatsu.
Jesus. This was the hypest mailbag so far. I was literally going "YOOOOOOOOO!" when they got the scissor blades and the Gurren Lagann box sets. These are the absolute best fans in the world. Shit, Smosh's fans sent them bullshit like Obama condoms, moldy bread, and shitty drawings in their mailbag, while the Zaibatsu gets swords, axes, movie posters, figurines, and lots of other cool shit. I've been following the Zaibatsu since Donkey Kong County Returns, and I have to say, you guys have given me unparalleled amounts of entertainment just from getting hyped and butthurt over video games and anime. Hell, I never would've even played games like Bayonetta or Bravely Default if I hadn't subscribed to you guys. You guys have been consistent in both quality and quantity of videos. Thanks, guys P.S. I'm totally gonna send Pat a copy of Face/Off
Matt: "All we do is play video games." To be fair, Matt, some of the most well-paid people in the world are just tossing a ball around when you get down to it. You guys getting rewarded for playing video games AND being entertaining about it isn't that unreasonable.
As well as being a funny informal style show to watch, it's genuinely uplifting to see the love that's being spread from these gifts. Those personalised plushies were amazing and of course you guys totally deserve them.
They have said that it's not the expense that counts. If it's sent with care, and like (love's too strong a word, unless it isn't), then you needn't feel self conscious.
You know what else elicited a huge emotional response from them? "Stuff that was stolen from you". The contents of that box might have been $100 or $200 at the very top. Hell, it was probably less than that. Thought is what matters. Sending them a diamond crusted Dragon Dildo (ouch, ouch, ouch) will not mean as much as the guy who did the paintings, or the Luchador mask, or any of that.
With their sword, fire axe, battle axe and tons of food... The audience aren't sending gifts, they're preparing the Zaibatsu to survive the Canadian Zombie Apocolypse
I cried during this episode, partly because I'm touched by the fans' generosity and partly because my best friend died two weeks ago. I hope this mailbag series lasts for a good long time.
TWO FUCKING BOXSETS!!! NOT EVEN JUST THAT COLLECTORS EDITIONS!!! OH MY HOLY FUCK. Not even joking Id have to be super strong to keep the video rolling, I would be beyond humbled by the first one to the bottom of my heart. The second one id have to cut short Id be in fucking tears, its an odd experience for people to be nice to me sometimes but that shit is LITERALLY insane. Your fans really love you guys including me, but wow i dont have words and Im not even one of the Zaibatsu who got them. You guys rock that is just so generous, also the feels guys.
I honestly think you guys are underestimating JUST how much your fans love everything you do. While you might think you don't deserve these huge, incredible gifts, the sheer amount of entertainment you provide for us so much more than anyone else I can think of. You've made a community, helped thousands of us get through very hard times in our lives, and more than anything else, managed to entertain us for hundreds of hours on end.
Welcome to another 2018 post-breakup retrospective. This was, in my opinion, the REALEST of the mailbags when it came to how much we appreciated them... the purple Game Boy for Woolie was also a hot contender. ... Oh god, wait, I hope they don't kill each other over that spare blu-ray box set. Shit, did they get enough of them after all was said and done!? Might need to hunt them all down separately and give each one another box set just to be sure...
These guys definitely seem to have a very clear and generous definition of fairness. My prime example is the Gurren Lagann box sets they got. Those things run, like they said, anywhere between $500-$600 dollars, and they were all super down that Liam got one. They are right, Liam hasn't gotten quite as many big things in the mailbag videos, and man, did they ever make up for that with this. I guess to me that's just really cool. The Zaibatsu and it's fans are just one big cuddle puddle of generosity it seems, and I'm really glad I can be part of a fanbase like this one.
That Was so cool for giving that Boxed set to Liam. Also all the emotion's I feel for watching the mailbags you have done, also does Matt want some Punisher comics?
Don't feel to bad Best Friends, all those great and wonderful gifts your getting is our way of saying thank you.And if your worried about the cost, don't.It just means you guys are worth it.Thanks for the effort and work you guys put into your LPs.And a shout out to the fans, thanks for the love, care, and respect for our boys here.Between the Best Friends and the fanbase this is by far the best channel on youtube.
Seeing their reaction to the bluray sets was one of genuine shock. The fact that 2 people sent the same gift that cost a ludicrous amount of money shows not only how much their fans appreciate what they do but that they are seen in such a warm light by their fanbase. Whether they see themselves as deserving or even worthy of such gifts is entirely up to them, but to their fans, they truly do deserve them and a reaction that they showed while opening said expensive or even thoughtful gifts is quite possibly all the thanks the fans could ask for.
Not just saying this, but we are seriously the greatest fans ever. I've never seen such an insane level of gifts given to the "creators". This is absolutely insane and makes the things I was going to send them seem unnecessary at this point. And I am now under the impression the Zaibatsu has some wealthy fans.
Oh...it's still being sent. Don't worry. And while I appreciate the sentiment, I'm not actually upset about it...more of a "figure of speech" of sorts.
You guys are the best and I really do love this community. So much feels this video and I love the passion these four guys put into every single video, podcast, and play through! *sniff* look, I got dust in my eye now dummy :')
Dudes, giving that to Liam was one of the best things I ever saw someone do, you 4 are really best friends and deserve the title your channel has. Have fun with your new deadly weapons, cereals and drills Nerds
If you think all you guys do is just play video games, you're obviously missing out on why people spend 500 dollars on you. You make people happy. That's priceless, in my eyes.
The guys (especially Woolie's) reaction to that second Gurren Lagann box made me laugh in a way I haven't experienced for a very long time. Awesome. Thank you.
A lot of people on TH-cam "just play video games", few people can make it actually entertaining and educational (EDUTAINMENT). A commentators channel done by all around great people who remind us all of people in our lives. A channel that delivers a steady stream of content day after day for nigh endless hours of laughs. I've been a subscriber to this channel since I saw Street Fighter Stupidity and there are I STILL haven't finished the predator concrete jungle LP. Few people can pull off comedic anger so well, yet Pat does it on a regular basis... effortlessly. Woolie reminds everyone of "that guy" who before a play gathering; practices furiously for weeks. Liam the newcomer who slowly found his voice over time and throws out the hilarious jokes at unexpected moments and then Matt, the typical well rounded leader who works perfectly with everyone.
Some people can afford to spend on the people they adore. And its worth it for the people who bring us joy. Helping get someone through the day is worth much more then a handful of money. Enjoy your gifts, Zaibatsu! And keep being awesome!
"All we do is play video games." I'd have to disagree guys, sure that's the base of what you do but you give people humour and friendship and you make them feel like they're not the only people who are into the same stuff as you. After a hard day there's nothing I love coming home to more than a new Best Friends episode of ANYTHING because I know it'll cheer me up. I look forward to Sunday too because it means I get to spend a small part of my day laughing my ass off. Basically, what I'm saying is that you've given us so much and now we're giving back to you :)
The massive cereal box was quite an entertaining segment. Geez, most of those I've seen in the local Wal-Mart's. I can't believe Canada doesn't get those flavors. Woolie's hype was the best of all! xD
Man, whenever I am feeling down I always come back to this video just watch them open the package I sent. It really warms my heart on multiple levels. The most prominent feeling coming from Matt, Woolie and Liam recognizing and remembering who I am. I dunno. Makes me feel good. (I am Castiel of TBFstreaming. I sent the Oreo Barbie along with the half a dozen packages of different types of oreos.)
Seriously. Thank you. Forever.
This hits hard to this day
You're making me tear up damn it.
Everybody keep sending more Gurren Lagann Blu Ray Collector sets.
Don't stop until they have at least 60 of them.
Realistically, they need at least 5 altogether. They already have 2, they need 2 more for each of the Zaibatsu, and 1 for Zach.
We need to keep sending them until the actively have to tell us to stop.
So around 60 more.
mstrswrd dont forget about James Small and Billy's copies
xBigMitch224x James Small gets a picture of a box set. Nothing more.
As for Billy... all right, yeah, the driver of the shame car deserves a reward for fulfilling that most necessary duty.
mstrswrd fair enough
I love jerky enough that I refuse to buy it, because I know I can't stop eating it. Also it's really expensive for just being shitty strips of flesh. That are wonderful.
I have friend who knows how to make jerkies that actually tastes like the ones from the stores
GTKueZer He's learned how to print money.
Plague, why are you so wonderful?
I don't know why this is creepy when it's 100% true. 10-15$ for a few salty strips of deer ass. Or cow. Or whatever cute animal it's made out of. It'ssogoodthough.
Yo Plague, send me some of your doujins dude.
I really wish they hadn't stopped the mailbag, I was in the process of making a weighted replica of the "gurren lagan insane boxset" OUTER cardboard box, so they'd see it and flip their shit again, and then when they opened it it'd be filled with dragon dildos

giving the gurren lagann blu ray thing to liam senpai was the most legitimate heart warming thing I've ever seen
Man shit got real when they opened up that second Gurren Lagann.
I have never seen four guys so reluctant to receive such awesome gifts.
But on a more serious note. Guys giving Liam one of those box sets, "clapping" you have shown just how much you guys are real bro's with one another.
You truly are the Super Best Friends.
Truly, they were the Super Best Friends.
I actually teared up when everyone agreed without hesitation to giving Liam the Gurren Lagann set. You guys truly deserve the title of Super Best Friends.
oof
oh wow
Yeah this didn't age super well huh
It did apply at the time
the ending was heart wrenching, everyone committing to giving Liam this amazing thing they all want and them all agreeing on it shows they actually care about Liam, this was awesome, keep up the great work
I love the look in Woolie's eyes as he admires his blade...
"It might be Fate/Stay Night" was pure gold.
Damn....that Gurren Lagann BD Box Set is no joke.
Man, so many emotions at the end! I can't handle it! But that was really nice the way you automatically decided to give the second set to Liam. True friendship guys.
I got teary-eyed when they gave the Gurren Lagaan ultimate edition to Liam.
Mailbags are always a rollercoaster ride of hype.
Every week must be like Christmas for these guys...
...I'm so jelly.
Your fans are literally the sweetest things ever. We love you guys, you may just only play video games but sometimes you just get us through the day, make our bad days better because you can put a smile on our faces. Keep going strong and remember that we love you!
This.....this beyond belief.
Aww, they gave it to Liam. That's so sweet of them~
Wow, i could tell the Zaibatsu were on the verge of tears when the Gurren Lagann sets came out. For them to realize that not one, but two people appreciated their work enough to spend $500 on something for them must have tugged on their heart-strings (even Pat's). Kudos to alex and adam. And kudos to the rest of the fans. You guys being awesome fans inspires these guys to keep being awesome people.
I've never seen any anime, but the reactions you guys give to that Gurren Lagann set makes me super happy for you all.
WOW! THe stuffed versions of them at 21:50 are amazing.
As a life long American resident, there's some cereals in that pile that even I've never heard of.
Same here, I've never seen that Oops Captain Crunch Berry and many others of those before. Man, CVS really is a magical land...
Look, when we (I'm Bevan) went to the grocery store to buy them, we purposefully found some weird ones.
I wouldn't worry about the cost of things so much. People know how much they can afford. You provide countless, fucking countless hours of entertainment. I still watch the heavy rain playthrough and almost vomit with laughter every time.
Giving Liam one of the TTGL sets is still like my favorite moment in this entire channel's history
The murder in Woolie's eyes when he was fondling that sword.
"...I THINK WE FINALLY GOT IT...!"
~Woolie, 2014, getting excited about the possibility of incoming bad dragon dildos.
There are no words to describe the feels of everything past the first Guren Lagann package.
This is more than I've gotten through all Christmases in my entire life. Dat Gurren Lagann Box Set... I'd kill for that
Wait, DON'T send an arcade?
Oh woops.
*DISCLAIMER: I DIDN'T ACTUALLY SEND A FUCKING ARCADE*
I am so extremely jelly of the Gurren Lagann boxed set.
Woolie's face as he slowly unsheathes the sword looks like he just received a gift from God xD
No lies, stay awesome you four! Love you all!
I'd probably act the same way if someone just gave me a collector's Blu-ray set that cost $500 to $600 each. Also that was sweet of them to give the second set to Liam.
OFC they are best friends. :D
I looked it up. Its still 700$. To put it into perspective, this was more than 1400$ worth of gifts in this one video. for those who are still freaking out.
That look on Woolie's face as he beheld Shirakawa is just beautiful. XD
I love when Liam asked "is this alright?" woolie and Pat where like "totally" and you just see Mat over there contemplating
***** Well he already said that while this was filming his dad was in the hospital so his mind was somewhere else during the entire video. He said that his dad is doing better now though.
That was the sweetest thing they could go for Liam good on you Zaibatsu
This is my life now, watching four grown men open mail for an hour
...Holy fucking shit. This video of Mailbag will never be topped with all that is given to them and their reactions. That dedication.
This is by far HANDS DOWN, the most epic of Mailbags I have EVER seen!!
i always remember the feeling of "jees how salty the second gurren lagan guy must have felt, when his big expensive crazy gift was SECOND"
Just hearing them say a number of how much it could be left me in awe. Very blown away with an amazing mailbag.
Jesus. This was the hypest mailbag so far. I was literally going "YOOOOOOOOO!" when they got the scissor blades and the Gurren Lagann box sets. These are the absolute best fans in the world. P.S. I'm totally gonna send Pat a copy of Face/Off
It's the genuine emotion you guys display when receiving such gifts that is what makes you worthy of them. :)
Matt: "All we do is play video games."
To be fair, Matt, some of the most well-paid people in the world are just tossing a ball around when you get down to it. You guys getting rewarded for playing video games AND being entertaining about it isn't that unreasonable.

and here I am thinking "I a huge fan of SBF. I'll send them a letter"
*watches the Zaibatsu open $800+ worth of stuff
"shit."
They have said that it's not the expense that counts. If it's sent with care, and like (love's too strong a word, unless it isn't), then you needn't feel self conscious.
I just looked it up.. it's 540 on amazon. Fucking wow.
yah...same I CANT TOP THAT!
You know what else elicited a huge emotional response from them?
"Stuff that was stolen from you".
The contents of that box might have been $100 or $200 at the very top.
Hell, it was probably less than that.
Thought is what matters. Sending them a diamond crusted Dragon Dildo (ouch, ouch, ouch) will not mean as much as the guy who did the paintings, or the Luchador mask, or any of that.
i was gonna make then each a custom "pony" of themselves, but shit man! after all these JOGOS! i cant even...
13:39 I imagined pat saying "I'm eating healthy not because you told me to... but because I need to stay healthy B-Baka"
This is blu spy read your comment, and I must say you seem angry. Thought we could be chumbs >:)
No! I was just uhm... *pushing anime stuff under bed* GET OUT! *pushes you out of room*
fine good bye
With their sword, fire axe, battle axe and tons of food... The audience aren't sending gifts, they're preparing the Zaibatsu to survive the Canadian Zombie Apocolypse

You've made a community, helped thousands of us get through very hard times in our lives, and more than anything else, managed to entertain us for hundreds of hours on end.
Man! Pressuring Liam for the box set was sooooooooo cute, Woolie got so cereal :3
These guys definitely seem to have a very clear and generous definition of fairness.
My prime example is the Gurren Lagann box sets they got. Those things run, like they said, anywhere between $500-$600 dollars, and they were all super down that Liam got one. They are right, Liam hasn't gotten quite as many big things in the mailbag videos, and man, did they ever make up for that with this.
I guess to me that's just really cool. The Zaibatsu and it's fans are just one big cuddle puddle of generosity it seems, and I'm really glad I can be part of a fanbase like this one.
There is, quite literally, no fan base better the the best friend fan base.
They are by far some of the sweetest guys who you can tell are genuinely happy about everything they receive.
That Was so cool for giving that Boxed set to Liam. Also all the emotion's I feel for watching the mailbags you have done, also does Matt want some Punisher comics?
I could always use Punny comics! Thanks so much!
TheSw1tcher Cool I didn't expect a reply from you, Well I have a few issues of the Punisher War Zone.
YOOOO! That Katana is SICK! Glad I've got one too! I'm just sitting here, holding mine as I watched this. The second I saw his, I whipped it out!
Given that to Liam, such awesome friends!
Me and my friends would go to war against each other lol!
Legitimate weapons - no problem.
Gurren Lagann box set - dude, DUDE, NO!
xD
gurren lagann is serious business
You know, a box set to over 500 dollars can kill more people than weapons...
1 hour video ? Better get my pizza and dr pepper ready !
I laughed so hard when they got the second box set cause all I could imagine was them fighting with the weapons they got over the box sets
Man if I had the money I would totally get them two more Gurren Lagann box sets so that they can all have one.
FEED YOUR KIDS!!!
Man, you could just feel the love radiating in that room at the end. You guys are awesome; keep up the great work!
"I love you enough to not trust you". Super romantic.
That was fucking literally Mailbag: The Fucking Movie. Christ was that intense.
You guys are the best and I really do love this community. So much feels this video and I love the passion these four guys put into every single video, podcast, and play through! *sniff* look, I got dust in my eye now dummy :')
I want to fucking cry, your guys reactions are amazing and WOW this fandom is fucking insane. So much hype, i cant handle it
I can feel the feels all the way through my screen. holy crap.
I literally laughed SO HARD when the second blu-ray box set was revealed.
This really was too much. I have no words for this either. Truly an astonishing commitment of the fans.
55:00 + 01:01:09
Highlights for our convenience!
What a hero.
You are credit to team.
I literally can't stop smiling when I watch these videos!
I know! I got a feeling there's pretty much wall-to-wall smiles with anyone who watched this.
Your discomfort with these lavish gifts was so adorably Canadian
Some people can afford to spend on the people they adore. And its worth it for the people who bring us joy. Helping get someone through the day is worth much more then a handful of money. Enjoy your gifts, Zaibatsu! And keep being awesome!
"All we do is play video games."
I'd have to disagree guys, sure that's the base of what you do but you give people humour and friendship and you make them feel like they're not the only people who are into the same stuff as you.
Woolie's hype was the best of all! xD
So Matt has his axes and Woolie's has his sword. Someone needs to send Liam a super sick bow and Pat a mace that performs miracles
***** Good for you bro..you rock XD.
That terrifying moment while watching the mailbag when you wait to see if they open a package from someone else with the stuff you just sent in.
"All we do is play video games!"
Its so hard to believe, that any of these guys stopped being friends.
