- Last week I went for a first little trip in the new van to explore the other side of Femunden, the lake where we live. This is where you can find some real wilderness, several national parks, ancient forests and endless mountain areas to get lost in. It has been drawing me there for quite some time, so it has been nice to finally follow this calling. And again I realised - I love this place so much. It makes me feel so free. And it makes me feel at home, though I don’t even know why. So, I hope you'll enjoy joining me on this little adventure! ❤️🌲🔥

Your videos are so beautiful! I couldn’t agree more about hugging the trees 🌲 I grew up in the forests of Ukraine and was taught that hugging trees has the power to heal you, both physically and mentally. What was even more fascinating to me is learning that different kinds of trees have different types of energy and healing - some are calming, while others are energizing. You’ve reminded me to go out and hug a tree today. Thank you for sharing your life and wisdom with us ❤❤❤

I live in Northern California and know just what you mean by how a walk in an ancient forest like our redwood forests here are grounding and restorative. The timelapse of the night sky above the trees was beautiful.

Beautiful video. Forests are indeed magical and gives a very postive energy. I grew up in the mountains close to forests and everytime I go back to nature now I get a beautiful feeling which is totally missing in the cities.

Hi Leena. Imagine, if man had left all the ancient forests alone. I'm sure the world would be a better place, if it still had that deep wisdom growing about it.
Yes, the old trees, it's like "they know" and if we could only be able to glean wisdom that is ages old !! They give off their own form of natural energy and wisdom.
We have many "Century old" trees in Montreal, within the city, and as well, out side in the old forests of rural Quebec and further outside of Montreal.
Do you know of Serkan Bilgin? he is in Turkey. His traveling truck has some pretty cool additions.
1. he has a water tank, pump, and shower/hose in the back of his van, so he always has a water source, for whatever is needed.
2. he also uses those popular stand alone battery power boxes, that you charge either in the vehicle, or at home, that fuels lights, computers, charges phones, etc.
3. On his truck, he also has a roof top pop up tent, that he uses quite often. the whole van is kitted out with all the "camping gear" he might need.
Since you said you needed to curtains and a light source in the van. I am also sure you could get a heat source that is compatible (plug) with the electro boxes.
Why would you ever want to be in a big city? When you have that to look at, very serene, and peaceful.Thank you for sharing that with us. You have a beautiful country.
Hockey? I grew up a 30 minute drive from a designated wilderness area that needed a permit to enter. I ended up in a city of 300-thousand and discovered hockey. Being a goal tender is euphoric like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Yes, time alone to sit by the water is still needed, but I’m right here on the Puget Sound. It’s 20 minutes away, including parking and walking to the water, underneath hundreds of years old trees.
Beautiful scenery Leena and thank you for taking us along on your trip to the wonderful ancient forest and area. I agree, walking through a woodland brings peace and calm and the tree hugging too. Your films of the beautiful Norwegian nature are always a joy to watch.❤

This video is very special to me as a child I would hug the huge trees in my yard. There were so many. It gave me a sense of peace like hugging the hand of God.
Leena’s videos always bring me such a sense of peace. I really admire her bravery to travel and explore the Norwegian wilderness alone. I would love to be able to visit Norway someday!

It is true that hugging a tree really calms your mind. Every time I sit with my back against a large oak tree I start dozing off.
This was the only one of your videos that I would have preferred no music… just to hear the rain and the sounds of nature.

Being alone in the wilderness can be a challenge. I have been in the part of Norway where you are now and have family there. My goals was always to hike up on the highest mountains and enjoy the view. If it's raining I would borrow a friend's boat and go out on the lake to catch fish to eat. Your videos are great by the way.

I haven’t hugged a tree yet, but now l think I might. I like walking amoung the tall Redwood trees here in Northern California. Armstrong Grove is about 1/2 hr away. Thank you for your beautiful video presentations. 😊

Ich finde, dein Englisch ist in den letzten Jahren sooo viel besser (oder zumindest sicherer) geworden, vielleicht empfindest du das selbst auch so?
Das ist jetzt sehr ehrlich und klingt vielleicht seltsam, aber: Es braucht jedes Mal etwas Überwindung, eines deiner Videos zu schauen. (Trotzdem schaue ich sie alle, schon seit Jahren :) - sie machen mich traurig, könnte ich oberflächlich beschreiben. Aber in Wahrheit ist es nicht unbedingt Traurigkeit, es ist Sehnsucht. Du weißt ja, wie es sich in Deutschland so lebt (auch wenn ich es hier oben an der Ostsee nahe der dänischen Grenze gut getroffen habe). Ich heile am besten, wenn ich Natur und Weite (und keine Menschen) um mich habe. Und bei euch gibt es so viel davon. Das ist wunderbar... Und macht halt Sehnsucht. Diese Art von Sehnsucht, die einem die Tränen in die Augen treibt. Und die es schwer macht, dein neuestes Video anzusehen.

Hi Leena, super, dass Du schon so weit mit Deinem Van bist. Zum Warm halten kann ich wirklich ein kleines, elektrisches Wärmekissen empfehlen, es verbraucht nicht viel Strom und schaltet sich nach 2 Stunden aus. Ich weiß nicht, ob Du Strom im Van hast? Ich habe dafür eine Jackery 1000. Damit kann ich zur Not auch mal ein paar Minuten einen kleinen Heizlüfter laufen lassen, was ich gerne zum Aufstehen nutze... Wie immer ein wunderschönes Video.
