Absolute nightmare for one man to collapse down. The poles are way too stiff to pull apart. Only first time putting up and very nearly binned. I had to get someone else to help. So much for a one man Bivvy.
looks just like a wychwood tactical ngl but i use one of the beds and they are the pukka
any vidioes on how to put it down a have one of these and find it difficult to pull the rods out, it goes up really easy but taking it down is a nightmare unless im doing something wrong
Hows does it compare to the Ascent 2 man?
There needs to be a proper tutorial on how to assemble and dismantle the bloody thing.
This looks like a good size for a one man and I’ve seen comments that erecting and collapsing can be challenging. This would get easier with practice I guess. What is the quality of material like and is the over wrap necessary?
Ok so i bought one, plus the overwrap £340 all in. I have to say the shape is great but the quality just isn’t there, pram poles all cut roughly and can’t see the pole elastic lasting very long. The overwrap came with only 6 pegs when 12 are needed and groundsheet is paper thin. We shall see how long it lasts for. Plus it doesn’t fold up very well to get back in the bag 👎🏼
Look like the aqua compact
Everything except air vents?
Bivy has everything, but not height :D. I guess it is a good bivy if you are 150cm
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Size of that, it wont be fitting anywhere...
No internal pockets ? No loops to hang a light from ?
10,000 hydrostatic head ? Shower proof only then !
🤦♂️
@@Rossmann32 Funny, I've been using a bivvy with a 5000mm hydrostatic head for nearly a decade and it's never leaked. Turns out that 5000mm is quite a lot of hydrostatic pressure (it's the equivalent of a vertical column of water 5 metres tall weighing down on an area) and you only really need to go higher in waterproof clothing because of the internal pressure your knees and elbows place against the fabric when squeezed against it. If you don't tension the material of a bivvy by jamming things against the sides then 5000mm is more than enough to keep even gale force rains out, bad seams and pin holes are a far more likely source of water ingress
Looks like a Westlake fragment 1 man an they are half the price of these, you can get the bivvy and peak with ground sheet in the big carry-all bag for under £100 an the overwrap is always on offer for under £40. Plus the fragment has storage pockets and rod holders built into the peak!
Might have to check the Westlake out!
@@sifishes I'd love to see a review it's a proper bargain bivvy and great for all seasons especially with the overwrap.
@@DJEpsilons Haven't Carpology done a review of the Westlake?
