My friend, I simply love this archetype. I’m definitely giving it a try; It’s looking like a SOLID TIER 1 DECK that is likely to survive ANY ban list, just like Darklords or Samurais. [ETA] It’s really satisfying when your old purchases become playable and competitive.

Advise for all beginners, RESET the box immediately after you get Simoon, the Poison Wind IF you want to build this deck or any other Blackwing version. I got 3 of them this way with just 9700 gems, I'm still missing 1 Gale that doesn't come out yet but the hardest part is done.
Best comment ever, most of newbies want to get everything without resetting the box. BIG MISTAKE, you are supposed to reset it immediately after you get the key card that you need multiple times.
This deck is extremely expensive. Not to forget we need to dig the old blackwing box twice to get multiple whirlewind and Bora on top of the new box in order to play this deck fully.
I reset the box right after I got Gale because she's the only UR from the box I care to get more than one of. Simoon is a good card but I don't want to go through the box three times
To put it simply, either have Simoon or Black Whirlwind in your starting hand or pray to Shooting Quaser that the opponent doesn't OTK you for not having neither of them.
Yes all they needed was synchro monsters. Even if they ban their core cards thats isnt Whirlwind they can still play an engine with Kris, Breeze and maybe even other core engine that could be played. All that matters is their strong synchro
Maybe, but BW well have at most a year without being touch by Konami's forbidden hand whirlwind and simmons are most defently gonna get limited to one or two.
These last ban lists did NOTHING to Darklords or Samurais. I keep destroying everyone with both decks and I actually see them topping Dkayed's tournaments all the time. All decks from Main Boxes have such a looooong life.

Actually six sams died after last banlist, when they nerfed both WLC and beatdown. Sure, still KOG worthy, but now they simply get destroyed by both Darklords and Invoked. Dual Wield and Concentrating Current are simply not enough to counter these two decks.
Sorry but... whoever thinks Samurais died is being a real FOOL, they keep coming back again and again. Every time a new tournament is takes place, they just keep proving people wrong. Samurais won’t die anything soon, they are probably the best deck of 2019 alongside Darklords.

I have Darklords, so strategically speaking as a f2p player I should skip this box, however, I'm sick of not owning a synchro engine competitive deck, and this one seems to be able to survive many banlists since most of the cards are URs. It's expensive af, but I'm still getting it bc it seems fun to play and they proved to be very good in TCG. I still have my 2 dream tickets and I'm close to reaching the 9999 gems cap. Wish me luck guys :D
I'm more of a subbed person myself. Unfortunately 5Ds dub is not one of my favs. They made Jack sound like an absolute tool. Original DM dub was great thought ngl~
@Ben Orton '97 all decks from main boxes seem to be ever lasting. However, I must admit Vendreads and specially TRIAMIDS have been such smart purchases, they aged very well.
It's the most busted tuner paired up with blackwings because it can special summon itself and permanently reduce the attack of an opponent's monster by half. Still trying to pull it from the box.
Ive been sitting with my 2nd account ive made a while ago back in 2018. 9999 gems 4 UR dream tickets (1 of these cannot use on any of blackwing box), 1 SR dream ticket. Spent everything this morning and Now i only missing 2nd gale, third simoon and 1 zephyrs. 1 more round of box opening, i will have a complete blackwing. F2p. Lot of grinding tho. I'd replace the Red Dragon Archfiend for either Dark End Dragon or Scrap Dragon. Archfiend is just a beatstick while the other 2 will clear anything left on the board for an otk.
I have currently have 6k gems. However, I dont know which box would be best to spend on. I need some sort of deck to help me reach high ranks as I just started playing.
Triple simoon, double gale, triple whirldwind, triple bora... Man, this deck better be absolutely AMAZING to demand such a steep investment in two main boxes multiple times.
Shadow imprison mirror will negate the ressurections and destruction, but will not negate the swarming and synchro summons, so it does not solve the whole problem
5:37 I like how you emphasize that steam the cloak is banned in th OCG, but don't mention that why it is banned. If I recall correctly, it isn't because of the synchro plays, but rather because of it's interaction with crystron needlefiber and lair of darkness- needlefiber brings it out of the deck by its effect, link away the steam the cloak with needlefiber, it summons a token, then use lair of darkness's effect to tribute your opponents monster to bring steam the cloak back by its effect, allowing you to link climb even higher.
I got 2 Whirlwind and 2 Bora with 2 dream tickets left. Waiting for the meta to settle to see what to get. Also go swoon in first 8 packs so holding on to gems iff he's the only 3 of I need in the box
What a coincide that darklords was been nerfed before the release of this new box that contains a top tier monsters effects deck. Konami doesn't even try hide the fact that they want to make people spend real money in this game.
It seems pretty dependent on that spell so maybe invoked spellbooks, a turn 1 silent magician negate would be pretty good. Only time will tell what a good matchup might be..
The thing I dont like is this deck can easily OTK opponent even faster than Invoke or Darklord and this deck will hardly get ban bec they all made up of UR. It just made the game less fun

@@underminer7825 Easy way to waste aleisters. That blackwing synchro can revive the destroyed black wing synchro while Aleister stays in the Graveyard. Plus their trap card negate monster effects, so activating aleister from the hand can still get negated.
@@adilmohamed2280 Let's say u use aleister to protect your Cocytus. That one aleister is now in the grave. If you don't have an invoke in hand (which u most likely won't), you'll normal summon Aleister to search invoke. Blackwing will use their trap card to negate the effect, destroy your aleister, and summon another beater on the field. That's two aleisters in your graveyard when they haven't lost a single monster.
Love to see the blackwing doing well they were some of my fav cards , dont have enough gems to farm out this box yet but gonna have to since they added my boi hawk joe

I got zephyros, gale, and simoon under 1.4k gems. Got gale with 500 gems, did another x10 opening with the free 500 gems and got zephyros, i saved 400 gems and got inpatient then did a x8 to get simoon. I'm stupid happy y'all

I got most of these cards anyway, back in the day I invested in Breaker the Magical Warrior and Glad Beasts.

If you have 20k gems in reserve and you plan on going all out on BWings then yes....If you have less than 10K Gems then...You will be wasted hard

Blackwings are wonderful, but I hope the upcoming new mini box has support for Spirit monsters.

It's really good at board breaking and has a decent turn one play with the help of Black Wing Close to negate monster effects.
It's a bit weak to disruption though, expect Canadia and Floodgate to be really common as BW answers.

i think the only weakness for this deck is the trap that negate dark type card (lumis umbra lv up card)
Na. Shadow mirror doesnt stop them very much.
Shadow imprison mirror will negate the ressurections and destruction, but will not negate the swarming and synchro summons, so it does not solve the whole problem
Just Cosmic Ciclon their BLACK whirlwind or Candadia/Floodgate their Synchro monsters before they activate their effects.
the only way to stop this deck is floodgate thier synchro monster or canadia.
but the problem is you need to do that with right monster

5:37 I like how you emphasize that steam the cloak is banned in th OCG, but don't mention that why it is banned. If I recall correctly, it isn't because of the synchro plays, but rather because of it's interaction with crystron needlefiber and lair of darkness- needlefiber brings it out of the deck by its effect, link away the steam the cloak with needlefiber, it summons a token, then use lair of darkness's effect to tribute your opponents monster to bring steam the cloak back by its effect, allowing you to link climb even higher.

It is quite strong but in Legendary I really struggle to overcome Gravekeepers or a full set up Blue Eyes Board.

Lava golems and the continuos spell removal
It seems pretty dependent on that spell so maybe invoked spellbooks, a turn 1 silent magician negate would be pretty good. Only time will tell what a good matchup might be..
The thing I dont like is this deck can easily OTK opponent even faster than Invoke or Darklord and this deck will hardly get ban bec they all made up of UR. It just made the game less fun

@@underminer7825 Easy way to waste aleisters. That blackwing synchro can revive the destroyed black wing synchro while Aleister stays in the Graveyard.
Plus their trap card negate monster effects, so activating aleister from the hand can still get negated.
@@rayxr bot unless they have 2 allisters, now days having 2-3 allisters is pretty easy for top invoke decks
@@adilmohamed2280 Let's say u use aleister to protect your Cocytus. That one aleister is now in the grave.
If you don't have an invoke in hand (which u most likely won't), you'll normal summon Aleister to search invoke.
Blackwing will use their trap card to negate the effect, destroy your aleister, and summon another beater on the field.
That's two aleisters in your graveyard when they haven't lost a single monster.

I got zephyros, gale, and simoon under 1.4k gems. Got gale with 500 gems, did another x10 opening with the free 500 gems and got zephyros, i saved 400 gems and got inpatient then did a x8 to get simoon. I'm stupid happy y'all
