I make many crosses for friends of Cancer patients who have passed like my husband did, so it helps them grieve and think of their loved ones too. Thank you for your beautiful version of the cross and the perfectionist you are in explaining the video process. God Bless!
You caught me on an emotional day I suppose, your comment really choked me up. I feel so blessed to have you share this with me. I love what you are doing. I’m glad that I’m able to provide another cross pattern for you to bead. (I hope your husband would have liked it too) Take care and have a beautiful day.
I am 48 my best friends mom made me one of these when I was 13 it has always since I've been an adult hung on my Christmas tree, still to this day. I am so glad to find this, thank you so much brings back such memories of my childhood
I made one of these crosses for Xmas last year and I'm back for a refresher today. Making my second one for my mother. Thanks for your helpful video! :)
I’m smiling thinking about you making one for your mother. Thanks for letting me know what your beading and for who - very nice. As always I hope you have a beautiful day.
Thank you for your wonderful tutorial! I have heard of pondo stitch but never tried it. I will now with your great instructions! So sorry for the loss of your sweet mother.
Thank you for making my day, so glad to get this comment. Definitely try the pondo stitch.. it’s really easy once you get going. I appreciate you taking the time to send your condolences. May you have a beautiful day.
This Cross is beautiful. You have my sympathy with the loss of your mother. She had such a soft lovely face. May this year be gentle to you. Thank you for the clear excellent tutorials. 🌸
Your cross was beautiful & your instructions for cubic pondo stitch were very clear. I haven't tried this stitch, but look forward to doing so. I am very sorry that you have lost your mother. I hope that many wonderful memories will help you through this most difficult time.
Thank you for this heartfelt message, I hope you enjoy the cubic pondo stitch, it’s much easier then it sounds. I appreciate your supportive acknowledgment of this part of life I’m moving through at this time. As always, I hope you have a beautiful day!
It makes me happy to hear that you find this cross tutorial “ Very clear step-by-step”. I do want everyone who tries it to be successful. From my ❤️ to yours, Happiest of New Years to you too.
Thank you, I’m happy to hear your planning to make a cross. They are quite easy to do really. I appreciate your sympathy and I hope you have a beautiful New Year.
Beautiful project. Sorry about your Mom. She was a beautiful lady, now she is a beautiful angel. Happy New Year. Looking forward to many more of your great beading tutorials. God bless.
As always, your tutorials are so clear and concise! I have never heard of the Pondo stitch until now. I have been beading a long time and have never dared try CRAW.... but now after doing this stitch in cubic, I think I will try more cubic projects! Thanks for the great tutorials. So very sorry for the loss of your mother.... I wish you a better and happier 2022.
Wow, thank you! I’m so happy you tried the stitch; Because it works up so stiff I think it’s super easy to hang onto and see where you’re going. I was afraid it might scare people if they haven’t tried it before so I’m very appreciative for your comment. Thank you for your sympathy and I hope you have a beautiful New Year! P.S. try CRAW (you got this) I highly recommend the tutorial from Jill Wiseman where she teaches it.
I really love this pattern. I love the way you teach, very clear. I’ve made 4 of these and one of them is in exactly the same colors of beads that you’re using in the tutorial. I wish I could show it to you. 😍
I love it that your making up so many crosses. You can always email me a picture of them at Thelittlebeadingcloset@gmail.com if you would like. I’d be so happy to see them. I’m also very flattered that you like my teaching style. Hope your having a beautiful day, Sherry
I learned how to do this stitch about 15 years ago. But when I learned it, it was called the cubic right angle weave. Very tricky to learn from a book. I wish I had a video tutorial back then to teach me how. I wanted to insert a picture of some of the crosses that I have made using this stitch but I don't see how I can do that. And I was making the crosses after I learned the stitch 15 years ago. In fact the crosses that I have now are 7 to 15 years old. If anyone would like to see them, let me know and we'll figure it out
This cross is NOT made with CRAW (cubic right angle weave) although it is a cubic weave using pondo stitch as its base instead of right angle weave. Definitely similar for sure and I bet the crosses you made before are just as beautiful. If you want to share photos with me you can always email me. See the description below my video for all my contact details. I 💗 video as one of the way to learn beading. Thank again and have a beautiful weekend.
Hi, I really appreciate you letting me know how easy the tutorial is to follow. I hope you enjoy your cross. I definitely think the nail polish comment is spot on. There’s no way to film what I do without my nails being right there in your face so to speak and I try to make them look presentable anyhow. If you’re curious I believe it is Sally Hansen miracle gel 564 metro midnight. As always I hope you have a beautiful day.
@@TheLittleBeadingCloset Thank you so much for responding to my comment. Im going to get started on that cross this evening. Also, I am seriously going to find that shade of gel. You're a gem!
Well, I made a smaller one using size 15 seed beads. They were a pretty silver lined red. I did not add any crystals around the edge and I loved the way it turned out. But yes it was a little tedious. My husband uses it on his motorcycle keychain. There is a picture of it on my Pinterest. pin.it/2tEtz2x
You can absolutely positively work with size 11 seed beads for the cross. The 3 mm crystal might work with the 11 also just don’t use the size 15‘s on either side of it. If not using a micro 2 mm crystal would definitely work. I also have made the cross with size 15 seed beads and no accents along the edge. Have fun experimenting with your beads, and as always I hope you have a beautiful day.
Have you ever tried the curved needles? Purely curious. I have a few projects with tight spaces to get through a bead and was wondering if it would be worth it to get a few….
Hi, I haven’t tried them for beading. This is the second question I’ve had about needles today. I know they can definitely make a project more enjoyable if you have one you like. My goto is the Beadsmith size 12 - sold in a 4 pack. I find the eye easy to thread yet skinny enough to fit tight spots. The needles are somewhat flexible and might end up curved by the end of a project. Please share any info you have, I’d love to hear more. Thanks so much and have a beautiful weekend.
Beautiful cross pattern, thank you for this tutorial. So sorry for the loss of your mother. Praying for HIS peace and comfort at this time.
Thank you for your very kind message, it really means so much to me. Enjoy the tutorial and have a beautiful day.
