I feel like they should have combined vampires, realm of magic etc and just made a supernatural expansion pack like sims 3 with werewolf’s and fairies etc cause they are just selling the components separately for more money
I agree except for the fact that because they are separate they actually put more time into making them good. I feel like if they had been put together they wouldn't have been as good
There should be a pack that’s cheaper to buy them both together than buying them separately, so like the bundles, like buy one get one half price

I really wish the Sims would utilize apartments more! Apartments are so common around the world and it makes me sad that they’re only in two worlds
I don't get why they don't release a base game update already. Either as a building tool or a base game apartment they put in our library.
Right I bought city living specifically for apartments and was so excited but all the apartments are huuuge they needed more small apartments like studios and 1 bedrooms i hate giant houses and apartments furnishing them is 2 much for me at times but you can also download "apartments" from the gallery and just add a household to the lot thats what I do 2 put apartments in my game I put some in oasis springs near the restaurant with the dinosaur and you could see the diner and dinosaur perfectly from the top floor unit kitchen window it was so nice im real big on views lol
i made apartment in base game and just locked door for all but those that live in that unit. made it easier to play multiple people/households at once

If University had a “Go To Class” thing somewhat like “Go To Work” where you could go into classes with your teacher and other students and you could go to a library and stuff THEN that would have made it better since most of the time your sims are doing homework or are in class,

Get together is my favourite expansion pack. I personally use the club system in every single save. It’s a great way to meet single sims, make friends, gain skills, and easily have family gatherings. I use the build buy alll the time and I absolutely adore windenburg and it’s easily my favourite world. Get Together is the most underrated expansion in my opinion.

@@lissa9714 Doesn’t it have one of the biggest worlds tho? Plus it does have (IMO) some great CAS and build items so it’s definitely a win for me. The world is very much along a style I love (it’s very beautiful) and there seems to be a lot you can do with the club system.
But if the world and CAS/Build items aren’t your thing…it would seem more like a gameplay pack over an expansion maybe.

Now, the pack overall kinda sucks lol but in defense of Island Living not having a hotel system, irl, native Hawaiians are losing their homes and sacred land just so there can be more hotels for tourists. A majority of the Hawaiian population is homeless and they aren't even the majority on their own islands anymore
But the thing is that it’s a game, so it doesn’t matter
Ya I personally love this pack. And I also feel Hawaiian population and financial system needs to be fixed

The fact that she rated Get To Work higher than City Living and Cats And Dogs and Outdoor Retreat higher than Parenthood is a CRIME
Also not to mention that she put Get To Work in MUST HAVE just because one of it’s features and compleatly ignored all the other ones. I feel like when making these tier list people should look at all of the features of packs and point out the pros and cons and not just say I love it because this one tiny feature. It’s ok to be a bit subjective because after all it is HER tear list but I feel like she was too subjective. For ex. she put Get Together in Highly Recommend mainly because of the world and she placed Cats And Dogs in Better Than Average because she feels like it’s lacking gameplay but completly ignored the beautiful world and all the great build and CAS stuff. When making tier list and recommending to other people what to buy she should have tried not to make this mistake and be a bit more objective. I was very shocked when I saw her rank Parenthood so low on the list when I know she likes family gameplay a lot. I think she expected too much just from a game pack as she was comparing it to the Sims 3 Generations while Generations was an expansion pack. However I fully agree with Island Living. The world is BEAUTIFUL but the should have added hotels.
Btw I’m not in any way hating on Sasha I love her but I’m just speaking my oppinion and so was she :)

I feel like it would make more sense to make like TWO lists. A building list and a playing list because yeah some of these packs are great for people that focus on building but not on game play and visa versa.
Yeah agreed!! I think the list would look really different if we focused on each aspect separately.
I think that’d be a good idea! It’s nice though to look at different simmers based on what they’re known for. But 2 lists would be helpful!!!
Parenthood is 100% MUST. If you love family gameplay, curfews, well rounded Sims etc. This is perfect for you!

@@thebirttadano i really think it depends on your gameplay style. if you’re more into supernatural talents, old fashioned clothing and decor then vampires. but however if you prefer family gameplay and want to feel that your sim kids actually have a purpose of having those life stages then parenthood.

yeah i recently got the sims 4 and this is nice for me to know which ones to buy first.
You should watch people’s first reactions, like when the packs first came out they usually show all the stuff and explain what they do.

I'm only now noticing the subtle camera shake effect on Sasha
it's a lot I felt like I was watching bourne identity (in that movie they would run with the actor to make it more real looking but it just made people sick and give them headaches).
Yeah, the shake effect was actually making me dizzy. I had to look away and only listen to the video

I personally really like the free holiday pack, I don't have seasons so I use this to pretend its Christmas. Also, the create a sim item are nice, I find myself using them often. Get it, you won't regret it
Same plus when I didn’t have any packs I used it a lot and tbh I still use certain things from cas and stuff
Literally the only reason I have fitness stuff is because I adore the dancing and working out in front of the tv.
The ONLY reason i got get together is so I could have windenburg

I agree with all of these apart from island living it would be a cool to have hotels in it but the WORLD omg it’s a must have so pretty and it adds mermaids and dolphins and beaches to the game I love it so much I use it all the time☺️
Just got Seasons and Cottage Living. 2 of the best investments I’ve ever made. The seasons really is a must have.

island living is like one of my favs especially cause of the world and finally having beach’s. AND with the newish update where u can have rentals, i always bring my sims on vacation there it’s really fun. and the houses u can make on water lots is so cool. idk for me i love it

watching this made me realize the sheer amount of packs that sims 4 has
and so many of them could've been combined to bring out packs that have more than 5 items
I feel like a lot of simmers don’t give get together enough credit because they have had it for so long. I recently got it and it is great. The amount of gameplay it adds is immense. You get so many more text messages and it makes you feel like the other people in your game are, well, people. I really recommend it.

I honestly believe island living could’ve been like one of the top packs of sims 4, it just fell WAY short of its potential
honestly, they gave us water activities and mermaids but no secret underwater explorable mermaid kingdom world to go with it ?? such disappointment from EA 😪
For me cats and dogs is a must have cuz I must have it I love cats I love dogs I just love pets in general and in my main Sims household I have 16 pets cuz I use Mccommand center just to get more pets

@@camy8331 both r good choices!! but seasons is such a big change and it literally alters how u play in every single world, which makes up for the fact that it doesn’t have its own world. city living is great too, i love the apartments and the city itself is awesome

I love watching different people rank packs, it’s so interesting how different people play sims 4. Like I love Realm of magic. Use it all the time, the counters are my favourite, I always give my sims a little floaty friend and using magic to light a carpet on fire under a sim in a locked room is a real quick way to kill off a spouse!

Everyone seems to forget that like RIGHT before it came out there was this wave of simmers yelling about how they’d love spin off packs. The biggest talk was around more cities for city living, and ironically more pets. Granted it was mostly around more exotic pets like horses and zoo type/farm type animals.
Like this was a thing. A big thing
Then EA did it and no one shuts up about it happening.
Granted, my first pet stuff is not a super big extra pack onto pets, but genuinely I think they were testing the waters and the sims community has scared them off trying again with anything bigger and better.

21:24 i *love* the huge loft/studio windows that came in moschino stuff. dont care about about anything else. Photography is cool for families though, but i forget to use it a lot.
It's fascinating to see what all the TH-camrs feel about the various packs. So many different viewpoints! It really brings out different ways of thinking. It's also given me a lot of new ideas.

Island Living really missed the mark with failing to include a mermaid aspiration. Thank goodness for modders! Or a trait or two for mermaids. Or a tier system like vampires had, come to think of it. They could have done so much with it.
Realm of Magic needed more spells! Thank goodness for modders! They also could've added some sort of cross pack tie-in like a rivalry with vampires or something.
Paranormal should have come with a cemetery lot trait and a pre-made cemetery lot to place. And maybe a tie-in with the other occults.

8:26 maybe snowy escape could have more japanese things, and more lots, but really, its incredibly pretty, lighting, festivals, forest spirits, its just a calm zone for cute activities, if it was bigger it could rival cottage living

*BETTER THAN AVERAGE*- City living, Cats and Dogs, spa day, spooky stuff, romantic garden, Moschino, Paranormal stuff
*MEH*- discover university, snowy escape, vampires, parenthood, jungle adventure, all kits, Movie hangout, Kids rooms, Bowling stuff
*MAKES ME SAD*- get famous, island living, strangerville, realm or magic, luxury party, perfect patio, cool kitchen, vintage glamour
*ELECTRIC CHAIR*- Journey to Batuu, Fitness stuff, my first pet stuff
These are her final rankings however if you are using this video for educational purposes I recommend watching the whole video because she goes in depth as to why rated these where they are.

I’d have ranked Spooky Stuff lower just because one of the items is in both that one and Seasons (the same tombstones), but Seasons at least also has generalizable content.

We all know the electric chair category was made specifically just for journey to battu and first pet stuff.
My favorite packs are city living and Discover university and game pack is Parenthood and stuff pack is paranormal stuff. My favorite kit is country kitchen kit.

I would rank "Fitness stuff" way higher. I love the plumbooba dance video. I use it a lot with my sims.
Saame I love fitness stuff! And if you like modern builds, the build items are incredible. Some good cas items too for workout clothes

I actually have a lot of use for Srangerville. Not the gameplay, but the CAS stuff. You would not believe how many times I've given my Sims the denim shorts with the embroidered flowers on them. They are like my favourite CAS pants.

I built a bowling alley/burger restaurant. So I really like dine out and bowling. I think a lot of packs really just depend on if you use them.
I agree with every thing else except paranormal. I would highly recommend it and the build in it slaps but I agree with everything else
