For those saying the cheering for the artist isn't ok..there are songs like that in my church, it doesn't matter who is leading the song- the minute it starts everyone just screams, mostly because it'll be a song that really makes people feel the presence of God..and tears just start streaming down cause the song is really meaningful or you can actually feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. At the end of the day, we cannot fully correctly judge what is in another's heart. Maybe some of them are praising the artist like that in a concert, while others are, like you've said, excited and ready to be ushered into praising God so they cheer the artist who is going to help them achieve that. Let's just be firstly concerned that our own praises and worship are solely towards God, and then be prayerful about those for whom it may seem that they are blatantly praising the artist above God Himself.
