4:00 is what you are here for
Great video!
Always informative.
ThankYou!
Love Hillstreams mine have bred for me. Got great insight from you. Thank you!
Thank you, yes some of those smaller ones were born in the tank, hopefully I can get more breeding in the future
Cool concept for a tank, with the algae intentionally being the food source! I hope the killifish do the job for ya with the hair alage. Looking forward to seeing how it all works out :)
Thank you, so far they are having a noticeable impact on the tank
The never ending fight with algae!
DWSDARIUS FISH TANKS the fight continues throughout the world
just make sure they don't call in air support (duckweed)
Lol!
I'm learning a lot from you/your video... Thanks!..nice tanks
Thank you, that's awesome!
Nice brotha!! Love those loaches! Title game on point 🤙🏻
Thank You!
I would love to see these tanks in person if i get to go there.
Nice vid! Hope the get it under control for you in a few weeks.
Thanks, they graze all day!
Cool video as always!
Thank You
I do not offer my hillstream loaches or blue gobies anything either - just long photoperiods and overdoses of Easy Green for the crazy algae growth. I adore my hillie tank - this tank of yours is my favorite - so far so good with none of the brown stuff though I do have a few tufts of the black/grey stuff. Hey - I think it is fine to bring in a "hired gun" sometimes to do the specialty jobs - I have taken note of the flag fish for in my tank(s) - plus it is a native fish! Thanks for the info - I had no idea these guys ate the stringy stuff - I may have to invest in a few now - great video :)
Thank you, yes I really enjoy this tank and these little guys are definitely helping...just need to keep an eye on their aggression as they grow
Please be sure to post an update on down the road on how this works out - I will be watching for it! Thank you in advance! :)
to me the adults look more like small mollies than killie fish!! very cool
Thanks! Yes they have the same shape
Hey I'm suffering with the same issue, so I was wondering how these guys have done with cleaning the algae. Any chance of an update please?
They slowed down with their initial consumption, I believe mainly because they prefer the prepared foods I offer and only graze casually...but I'll get a video update soon
Really jealous of your algae farm, would love to have it cover my wood lol
Thanks, yes its nice as long its under control...my favorite is the green hair algae, this is the only tank I've been able to grow it in
careful what you wish for. I got a sunlight "powered" 240 and even with thick plant growth, that hair algae finds Java moss and for some reason Bacopa as a favorite plants to infest.
Yes,I feed heavy!..I wont starve my fish because of some algae.
Y’all can also get Amano shrimp, they will eat most if not all your hair algae
Siamese algae eaters would clean it up in days
Which fish eat hair algae you are talking about
American flag killifish
How long do you leave the lights on normally? I want to copy
Usually 9 hours a day
Still loving how it looks tbh. Hahaha
Thanks, yes it looks more natural but I think its too strong, if I had to skip maintenance for a week or two it would be a mess...but probably still very natural looking
Having the same issue myself in my 10 gallon planted tank! A real pain😡
Yes these guys are taming it a lot faster than I thought they would
Amano shrimp will eat all your hair algae I really recommend them
What's the name of the loaches in the beginning of video.
Thanks
Reticulated Hillstream loach
Hello, May I know what is the breed with a stripe of gold and red at the end of the tail?
White cloud mountain minnow
I think Amano shrimp might graze on hair algae
Me and shrimp don't get a long...I've only been able to keep bamboo shrimp alive...every other kind doesn't last over a month
Been looking for a pair for awhile, don't get to a pet store much, their far away, hope to get some to breed.
Yes they are cool fish, hopefully mine color up fully
What are the yellowtail fish?
white cloud minnow
Please tell name of all fish in tank.
American flag killifish, cherry barb, white cloud minnow, neon blue goby, hillstream loach
Where did all those snails came from ??
I added 11 when I first setup this tank...now hundreds
What fish?
American Flag killifish
sad, no subtitles
Have the same problem but I have cichlids they would eat those little guys
Will all killi eat Hair Algea?
No, these are among the few killifish that eat hair algae as apart of their staple diet
Wht fish?
American flag killfish
Borneo sucker?
