A late comer to your vids as I started my DH journey a few weeks ago. Been playing vengeance and pushing into havoc to diversify in case a buddy wants to tank or something. I watched an old video where you did "breath" then retreated "over the mobs" and "essence broke" while in midair. Haha was so dope. Thank you so much for the video :) Everytime I watch one of your videos, I get this sudden urge to play DH (which I have loved as a class since Legion). I am a bit discouraged as for a while now DH has been reliant on Inertia talent (or Momentum as it was before) , which makes it harder for me to get the hang of. I felt like the rotation nowadays is more complicated, which is weird, coming from a Rogue main haha. Thanks again for this.
Thanks, the hunt tip was super, one tip that i have is sometimes is better to spam immo aura if you are getting resets into a big pull that using 2-3 unbound chaos per charge(using one is fine)
Also ty for the guides, helped quite a bit catching back up with the changes in 10.2 and your discord has been very helpful with various tips and tricks, for example trinket usage.
At 10:28, as you're explaining how to spread the dot from The Hunt, the dot markers on the dummies fall off, all except one. That one single dot keeps ticking for 6 extra seconds. Does that mean that the 4 set dot extension is only applied on the initial target of The Hunt? That would be 1) strange and 2) it would greatly diminish the value of the 4 set. Maybe I'm seeing it wrong.
thank you so much for your video it helped a lot! i used to manually click on the glaives for the same reason, thinking i was wasting them because tier set would give you "free" glaives, but i was wrong, i never really tested it in depth so i wasn't sure, but thank you for saying it!!!! 🦧 , same thing with the hunt, just walking around it gives them dots, that is insane!!!!!!!!!!!, i always made sure i would have the rush buff before hunt dot etc but now i don't have too as long as i get the buff after doing hunt or before doesn't matter, thank you so much, i was doing around 250k+ overall this should make me go beyond that haha

My min-max minigame is: 1. Throw Glaive manually only if BD is on cooldown. OR if by the time BD gets off cd, you'll have at least 1 charge. 2. Only stack 2 charges of Throw Glaive if you're going to use meta. 3. Use your charges on CD and ALWAYS use Blade Dance if you have a Throw Glaive charge.

Something to add for the inertia buff, technically you do not have to use fel rush within the unbound chaos window to still get the inertia buff. Granted, in combat you really should because if you do not you loose out on the empowered fel rush damage. However, if you are at the very end of a pull, and you push immo aura, you can hold that fel rush for the next pack and start off with inertia and two charges of immo aura. I have tested it, you can hold the charge for over 3 minutes and not loose it. Example: if you can convince ur raid leader to do a 30s pull timer, or after you release after a wipe cast immo aura, then you have free inertia on pull aka MORE DAMAGE! I havent tested if it works at the beginning of a key or not.
Fel Barrage is good for Fortified and under 20 keys. Essence Break is better for high keys regardless of Tyrannical/Fortified. Fel Barrage has a nasty side effect of slowing your Blade Dance usage and therefore potentially causing you to cap on Throw Glaives and lose damage overall. Fel Barrage for less important, crazy AoE and Essence Break for more focused and important damage. Someone might be able to explain it better than me.
What add-on are you using for your mouse? I lose my mouse on my screen all the time and think what you have for your mouse would help me find it faster

I have tried fel rushing after the hunt with unbound up and it does not modify my dots damage. Am I doing something wrong? The only time I see the damage of the dot increasing is if the hunt is applied with inertia before you use it.
Can you play Demon Hunter and still clear "highish" level content if you don't ever use the eye beam or metamorphosis moves (because the demon you transform into looks really rubbish)?

Optimization of fel barrage and or rage fire would be nice, i feel like with 3 targets or less even with 50% crit i get bigger ragefire using the 100% immo aura crit talent
@adsdsasdasdas8069 anything past 3 wouldn't need it yeah, talking purely like 1-3 targets where you can't rely on ragefire to crit enough to make it worth
I have a question, in most havoc guide videos you see the essence break combo with meta set up as vengeful retreat, essence break, death sweep, meta, death sweep. In most of the top logs you see vr after essence break however. So as a newer havoc player I was wondering which sequence is correct.
VR doesn't trigger the gcd (except on fel rush) so you can essb at basically the same time, if it's a few millisecond difference it won't matter in real life.
Sadly, whenever I decide to watch this gentleman videos every patch, i find myself wasting sparks to crafts this and that! and then later on its all a deferent story!
Try watching at the start of the season instead of half way through. Can’t help that priority is different when sparks are limited vs not limited / buffs & nerfs happen Etc.
Extensive testing, every blade dance with no charge was playing the sound of throw glaive and decreasing the hunt cd, moreso than if I had charges wasting away

Okay this was actually very insightful with the throw glaive and the hunt. I did notice that the blade dance did spend a charge! But I had no idea that if im capped at 0 charges blade dance is just a blade dance with chances of throw glaive. The hunt was a huge one for me. I have been wondering why my hunt was so ineffective compare to others. Just that slight jiggle really changed things. But a question with the jiggle thing after the hunt has "hit" how many seconds do you have to spread them like you did in the video?
You have about 1 GCD to spread the hunt to up to 5 targets after the hit, so if you use the hunt straight into another ability when you can use a 2nd ability you can no longer spread the "shimmy" this assuming you hunt from range and the GCD from the hunt is gone
Personally, I think essb is the best build currently for mythic plus outside of a few dungeons like black rook hold and maybe waycrest. The priority damage this season is very important and bosses are still a big checkpoint even on fortified. The only dungeon I’m currently having even remote issues with the trash is Fall before the second boss. Was in a 26 last night and the amount of damage going out in that trash is probably close to double any other trash this season
The abilty to gain innertia is definately bugged. I've immo'd, died, and fel rushed after res to run back and gotten the intertia buff, I've also had downtime and still gained inertia well over 12s
the throw glaive thing you say is just wrong, you should ALWAYS throw glaives manually to get the free proc. Its less damage but its free and the bleed damage is cumulative. Stone who is rank 2 havoc does this
@@Jedithtv Regardless of what Shad is saying, you should try playing around keeping TG at 0 stacks before you use blade dance for yourself and you will feel the difference. It's actually a huge increase. What the "%100 damage TG" crew is missing is that the free proc you get if you have no stacks counts toward decreasing The Hunt cooldown. Soulscar dmg is cumulative, the more the merrier. In your dmg breakdown in this video your soulscar is 7.6% and it should be more than 9% if you are playing your spec optimally. It really does add up.
About the throw glaive I noticed this IMMEDIATELY after getting my 2 set and just took throw glaive off my bars completely. It is very important that everyone reads tooltips if you dont read them your setting yourself up for failure. It is one thing to watch a video to learn a rotation but its an even better thing to watch a video and also read the tooltips to understand everything yourself!
there are still situations where you would want to press it manually so throwing it out of your bar is not the best tip ^^ But yes for general gameplay you almost never press it anymore
To be honest Fel Rush is really bad ability for rotation compared to other builds. The problem with wow is ppls is lying to themselves that meta is the only way to do damage (when meta most of the time barelly do more than the other builds). It is kinda sad how the meta forcing everyone to be the same, every demon hunter, every war, every class.... it's kinda making the tallent trees pointless. I would sudgest everyone to play as they like, not how they been foced to, and avoid the toxic meta chasers. About the rest of the video how the hunt works was great.
Can confirm this is cap, I randomly find Jed in pugs every once in a while and he's always been havoc since I can remember (yes even when it was pretty ass comparatively)
Would love to see a guide of your thought process when running fel barrage in a key, where to fit it in, which CDs to delay while it's active, etc.

unbound has nothing to do with it. dmg modifiers like momentum/inertia or haste from furious gaze would change the dmg

It’s better to not waste the EB window on the two global it costs to VR and get back
Ideally you VR over the pack/boss and use Essb before you land, and when you land you do the blade dance
