Video shows it launches fast but travelling fast is another big question mark. 1) It was tested at night instead of day time to prevent spectators capturing the full video for analysis purposes. 2) Missile reaches peak speed only during air flight and a short video instead of a full video barely shows anything. Hence speed can't be measured whether it is hypersonic or supersonic.

These missiles cannot be intercepted by traditional air defence systems. Ukraine couldn't destroy kinzhal missiles falling all over its territory. You cannot win wars simply by using such missiles. I have yet to see any other countries' missile flying off with the canister cap balancing on the missile tip. There are option 3 to discard the cap upon launching, Option 1 auto-blow off the cap before missile launch. Option 2 cold ejection launch inject high air pressure in the launch tube which create high air pressure pushing out the missile and at the same time blown off the cap. Option 3 penetrative cap, upon missile launch the missile penetrate through the cap like breaking through an egg shell, this requires higher metallurgy technology understanding and mastery. Anyone with a bit military background would know that, easy to fool a layman but not a military personnel. Anyways, for your information, based on the India so called "hypersonic missile" design the most it can hit is mach 3 and not mach 6 as claim by the india media, definitely not hypersonic missile classification.

Hypersonic glide vehicles moving through space are much easier to build than hypersonic cruise missiles that have to fly through the atmosphere for their entire flight. At the moment, only Russia has hypersonic cruise missiles. China and the DPRK have hypersonic glide vehicles and have been developing hypersonic cruise missiles for a while now. The USA still does not posses hypersonic capabilities.
