Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart: The intergalactic adventurers are back with a bang! Go dimension-hopping with Ratchet and Clank as they venture onto a PC near you for the very first time. Help them take on an evil emperor from another reality as you jump between action-packed worlds and beyond.
With their own universe next in the firing line, dust off the dynamic pair’s outrageous weaponry and stop a dimensional collapse in its tracks!
Unite the double team supreme with a cast of familiar allies and new faces, including newcomer Rivet. She’s a Lombax resistance fighter from another dimension, who is just as determined to take out the robotic scourge.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a Third-Person Shooter Platformer Game developed by renowned game developers Insomniac Games which is the 9th main installment of the franchise and a direct sequel of the 2013 game Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus.
The game starts 10 years after the events of Into the Nexus where Ratchet & Clank, who both retired from their life as galactic heroes, are celebrated as ones during a parade hosted by Captain Quark. Clank, who took possession of the Dimensionator from the last game, presented it to Ratchet at the end of the parade in hopes for him to go look for his Lombax Race.
However, waiting in the shadows is Doctor Nefarious who went on to steal the Dimensionator for his own use. After a short chase and struggle, Ratchet unwittingly shoots the Dimensionator which causes dimensional rifts to open randomly. Ratchet, Clank, and Doctor Nefarious then were sucked into these rifts and separated into an alternate universe.
Where will our heroes (and villains) go to have their journey next? Who and what will they be encountering in this unfamiliar universe? And how will they solve the catastrophe they caused to the very fabric of time and space? It’ll all be solved at the end of the game.
