Ed sheeran has one of the biggest black co-signs I've ever seen, ESP when u consider that he's a floppy haired British pop singer. That said, game respect game and ed genuinely seems like a really nice and humble dude so maybe it's that surprising afterall
I worked at the Apollo in New York and have seen that happen where the audience doesn't want to give someone (often a nerdy-looking white guy) a chance, but when the person brings the goods, they are the most fantastic audience on earth.

I remeber reading Ed telling the story himself and apparently Jamie has a bunch of family members living with him. Like aunts, uncles, cousins etc. I wouldn't be surprised if all the rooms were occupied by his family.
