Was nice to see Ricky Hood racing. Son of Hooker Hood one of the most famous and favorite drivers from Swindell,s home track , Riverside Speedway in West Memphis Arkansas.
Awesome. My uncle is good friends with Tim Green and he was on his crew once upon a time. This video takes me back to when I was a youngster going to San Jose speedway, it's the era that made sprint car racing my absolute favorite form of racing! Thank you for posting this relic
My dad and I were there for this, we were living out there at the time (not for very long thankfully). I remember that heat one crash and he did hit the wall a ton. We were glad he was ok. Same with the huge start pileup. Could have been much worse.

I didn't know Mike Joy and Dick Bergreen did World Of Outlaw Sprint Cars :)
Ok so we have Mike Joy commentating Indycar, Trucks, and then Sprint Cars.
He did Formula 1 as well on FOX Sports Net in 2000.
