Love Lava Lamps! They're a timeless classic. I have a black one with violet/orange lava. Had it for many years and never even replaced the globe!
They are absolutely a timeless classic! Do you have a mathmos lava lamp? I had one as a teenager but it wasn’t a mathmos one. It was red lava and clear water. ❤
@@angel_ash2472 Yep, it's a Mathmos! Unfortunately, they no longer do the clear liquid with black lava. But do have clear with plum lava, which is almost black I guess.

Keep it out of sunlight, as it will fade.
You can re touch the fluid colour if it does, by heating the cap carefully with a hairdryer to soften the glue. Unscrew the cap and add one drop of blue inkjet printer cartridge ink and two drops of magenta inkjet printer cartridge ink.
Thank you so much for the top tip Richard! Thankfully my room doesn’t get direct sunlight however we do have a 90s Jet Mathmos Lava lamp that originally was purple water with red wax. However over time the water has now turned clear. So we might look into giving that a try! Might be a good idea for a 2nd lava lamp video! ❤

Just make sure it is proper inkjet printer cartridge ink ( from a cartridge and not a refill bottle of ink)
You can squeeze out tiny drops from the outlet part very carefully 👌👍

That’s so exciting! I absolutely love mine! So yes it did come with one blub but at the time they weren’t including their own brand and for a temporary time were giving customers a non Mathmos blub. They have stopped this now and send their own bulbs with them. Unfortunately the non-Mathmos blub failed kept blowing. So I contacted Mathmos and they very kindly sent me two Mathmos bulbs for free and they are great! I have not had any issues with their bulb and it’s working perfectly and I now have one to spare. ❤

I still have mine from 1998 clear red but ist not from Mathmos, looking to get a rocket 🚀 since years but I still can’t decide for a color.

@@angel_ash2472that is the problem, I can’t decide! In the moment i am thinking turquise/pink or blue/blue but i would prefer a clear one but there is none apart from plum wax but i dont like plum. Maybe i go with anyone and buy another color in a spare flask later, sometimes there are special fillings.

@@angel_ash2472 I was deciding between the Astro and Telstar. I think you get more "Bang for the Buck" with the Astro and I love the classic Violet with red Lava. How has yours been keeping up? Still deciding here.

So should I buy the Mathmos Telstar or Astro?
Hey! It all depends on what style you like the most! They are pretty much the same price but the Telstar is taller than the Astro. I went for the Astro shape as it was the original shape that they launched in the 1960s plus it was a little bit shorter. But they are both stunning and you will love either of them! ❤ Let me know what you go for!

@@angel_ash2472 I have a lava lamp on my desk but it’s not a Mathmos, it’s a less expensive brand and I bought a replacement bulb for it and had to wait so long, now the bulb is the right size but still the bottle doesn’t fit and it’s a led lamp so no heat almost. Because of all this I had enough and would like to get one that works out of the box. And I know Mathmos is very nice and great quality so it’s going to be one from them. I like the dark plume lava color and also the blue. Any color is nice actually, it’s just that I picture a blue calming one in my head 😊

I was saying that I have a lava lamp already, it’s not a Mathmos, and it’s not working as it should. So now I was thinking ok I just to go Mathmos and order a lamp that has real quality and will work out of the box. I like dark plum if it’s a silver lamp but I also love the blue and violet colors. I think i will buy one of those because these colors will make me feel calm.
Got my mathmos on christmas and runs it since 6 hours a day but nothing much happen
Oh no! Mines takes time to melt because the bulb is an LED but it gets hot and lets the wax perfectly! My older Mathmos from the 90s melts quicker because it’s an old halogen bulb and it gets hotter quicker! 💕

@@angel_ash2472 Actually ma'am my little sis has a brain tumour, she saw this lava lamp in your video,and "she told me to look at it, (bhaiya,brother),this is called lava lamp",her birthday is near so i just want to surprise her with this lava lamp. she love that colour of lava lamp which one is not exist in India In India,is bad quality of lava lamps, even no customisation you know, i don't know how many years shes left. So thats why im using the please word , btw thank you so much ,you replied my comment i appreciate that ❤️ I Love my sister forever.
