What a storyteller...historic figure in our herstory....a walk thru the past 150 years thru the eyes of a thoughtful, intelligent, wise womyn...I'm so impressed and really flabbergasted....wow...and I'm from Detroit...love the Bay area...

Soskin explains so much about the social transformation that has occurred since the 1940s in this account of her personal experience. She is very modest, but her insights are fully as thoughtful as those of the most accomplished historian.

What an intelligent woman. No anger…. just stating the facts.
