I play exclusively Java, and I can confirm I have done this since the redstone handbook told me I could back in the 1.7.10-1.8 days.

Try using the replay mod, then it will render the physics with (hopefully) a higher framerate

Honestly, for what it's worth. The physics of everything seems to be pretty well optimized. If you have a graphics card that is at least better than a 580 XFX

me seeing the water at 2:57 (starts to get emotional damage from bedrock not have mods put in)

It was invented earlier in gmod actually. gmod has addon which called Gwater and its basically the same as this mod in minecraft

@@Grindsaw you do understand that software for realistic water simulations has existed for a long time now, right? All those really fancy water renders in Minecraft are just motion-tracked footage of Minecraft in Blender, where they're running a non-realtime water sim with hundreds of thousands of simulated water particles, then using math to create an averaged mesh of those simulated particles (to make it a visible object), and then simulating particles like foam, bubbles, and splashes, which creates millions of small particles in the water.
