Cyberpunk is incredible now. I enjoyed it at launch, but I also had a top of the line PC and didn't experience any major bugs. My first playthrough at launch was 60 hours, and by the end I was kinda done with it and rushing through. When I came back for the phantom liberty DLC and all the 2.0 improvements with a new character and played through the game again, I stayed for over 100 hours and got the plat and wished I had a reason to keep playing even more. It's soooooo good. Deep Rock Galactic is one of the best games ever made. Period. Half-Life: Alyx is SO good that it's actually depressing for me to think about it, because we still haven't seen anyone else create such a polished, big budget, well-designed singleplayer game for VR and it's been 4 fucking years. Valve showed us the promise of what VR COULD BE if people actually just invested the same money in it as regular games. We're in a chicken and egg scenario where consumers don't wanna spend the money on VR hardware because there are no big budget AAA mind blowing games for it, and companies don't want to spend a lot of money on VR games because the userbase is so small, so all we get are a bunch of janky or short indie games. The shitty fucking reality of how money works is holding back the greatest leap forward in gaming of the last 25 years. Gameranx just proved once again why their lists are the best/ helpful gaming lists on TH-cam, rather than just mentioning popular games that are available for console but is a better experience on PC or a remaster for the PC (because what if I have a Potato PC or just a PC that cant out perform latest generation of consoles, then the better graphics/experience point means nothing) there is also the mention of games that are absolute gems to the PC platform like factorio, age of empires 2 etc. experiences/ gameplay you cant get on consoles
The recent System Shock Remake deserves to be in this list. Unlike the Resident Evil 4 Remake and Dead Space Remake which was kinda unnecessary but we really appreciate for, a remake for System Shock was extremely necessary, and the developers did a wonderful job bringing back the franchise to modern platforms.
Did Gameranx redo their number animations lately? These are smooooth. 👍 (Could be less bright though if you're taking suggestions. Kind of a flashbang 😅)
I'm an old Amiga gamer, and many of what are referred to as "Amiga games" were or became available on other platforms. I think there are a few ways to look at it ... being the first version, being the best version, having the largest user base and something that the console can't compete on being the most modifiable.
The fact you mentioned rdr2 and Pentiment made it all make sense and the fact either you or some other poor bastard took the time too name each segment for the convenience, cheers.
I was going to comment GTA and then I remembered it was 11 freaking years ago. Remember the old days, coming from school just to hop on GTA 5. Still feels like last month.
Sifu is so good that that I'm actually burnt out on it now, and STILL love it just the same. Not only is the combat solid, but the fact that it has a Replay Editor makes it endlessly replayable. Or even more endlessly replayable than it already is. I've made so many of Sifu videos on my channel the past two years and while I am slowing that down now, I will always be thankful for the feature and the game itself for fostering my creativity and renewing my love for kung fu films.

Gameranx just proved once again why their lists are the best/ helpful gaming lists on TH-cam, rather than just mentioning popular games that are available for console but is a better experience on PC or a remaster for the PC (because what if I have a Potato PC or just a PC that cant out perform latest generation of consoles, then the better graphics/experience point means nothing) there is also the mention of games that are absolute gems to the PC platform like factorio, age of empires 2 etc. experiences/ gameplay you cant get on consoles
if Mass Effect Legendary Edition ain't here I'm gonna be so mad and send Grunt to headbutt Falcon
Did it come out in the past 5 years?
@@DefinitelyNotBenderyes, May 14th 2021.
I was kinda depressed after Finishing Mass Effect LE
@@NeeRock Sometimes those games crush you emotionally. Did you experience the scene at 8:52 ? I had to turn off the game and get some fresh air :))
@@DefinitelyNotBender yeah legendary edition come out when I was 1 year old
Half Life Alyx is the most incredible experience i've ever had in a game. The second I finished it I started it again.
(Could be less bright though if you're taking suggestions. Kind of a flashbang 😅)
Sad to see no game from Tekken or Mortal Combat in this list. It's like fighting games are underrated these days
They put Street Fighter 6
@@andykuo2070 Yeah but i feel like only one fighting game in list of 50 Games in last 5 years is a bit odd
Not a lot of CRPG's either...
Channel has a boner for JRPG'S, most Japanese devs; and big releases, popular indies.
Thanks for the list! I loved journey to the savage planet and dying light 2, and many from the list and many are on my list to play.
The one that came in my mind was Frostpunk
I keep hearing people talk about this. Will have to pick it up the next time it's on sale.
2018. Games from the last 5 years.
Frostpunk2 released a while ago@@HomemdaFaina
@@lovelylemonfactory its amazing
Not a fan of this game 😢
Wow. Didn´t expect my favorite on n.5. Kudos!
Disco Elysium is probably in my Top5 of all-time best games. It's just incredible.
I’m happy that snowrunner is getting some love and recognition on this list
Not really a list of PC games to be completely honest. Just a list of 50 games that are on PC.
I'm an old Amiga gamer, and many of what are referred to as "Amiga games" were or became available on other platforms. I think there are a few ways to look at it ... being the first version, being the best version, having the largest user base and something that the console can't compete on being the most modifiable.
@@daishi5571 I'd say it's more like Gameranx likes to play it fast and loose with their titles.
@@jsullivan2112 Are you trying to say this is a case of being lazy!!! :-)
@@daishi5571 No, fast and loose.
Interesting list. I have nine of these games and often see the others pop up on Steam as recommendations.
Falcon, you seem to be a man of culture. Would you do a video on the thousands Flash games? Bit of gaming history lost to time
The fact you mentioned rdr2 and Pentiment made it all make sense and the fact either you or some other poor bastard took the time too name each segment for the convenience, cheers.
I was going to comment GTA and then I remembered it was 11 freaking years ago. Remember the old days, coming from school just to hop on GTA 5. Still feels like last month.
I was thinking the same what no GTA 5 then i was like oh wait 2013 but like you said feels like its new still.
Disco Elysium is one of my favourite games, the voice acting is a significant part of what makes it amazing for me.
Elden Ring is where???
gameranx, you've done it now...

What are you talking about? The games are in random order.
@Panscrank999 Are you a cry baby?? 😂😂 The GOATED, Game of The Year! You still want to argue??
it's there you clown
@Panscrank999Go play Pokemon go kid
Persona and Hitman series are my type of games. So madly addictive.
