Fair play! Took me alot of mileage and intervals to go from 25 minutes to 19.40. Its tough going! Try doing 4 minute all out followed by 4 minute rest. Do this 4 times. You will see your v02 spike which will allow you to work harder for longer. Do some long 2 hour plus easy runs to build mithrochondria! Adds to the endurance.

Running that solo was tough! Definitely overestimated my current capabilities going into this trial 😂 I think you’re right. That sounds like a more realistic time goal for me right now. Racing next weekend, and that’s going to be the plan this time!

A 5k time trial on the track is pretty hard without a proper pacer. You can probably run sub 21 on a mostly flat road race.
