- Picked up this Hobby Box of 2023 Panini Prizm Football (First Off The Line) from the dutch auction on the Panini website. they sold out around $925 but i paid more cause i bought to early. they are reselling for $1350+ per box now. 2023 Prizm Football has been long anticipated! Each box promises 2 Autograph cards (1 FOTL Shimmer parallel) as well as 10 numbered Prizm parallels, 2 of which are supposed to be the FOTL shimmer parallels numbered to 35 or less. We actually got 2 shimmer autos and 4 shimmer parallels!

Prizm isn't about the autos anyways. I mean it would be nice to hit on the auto I get it. You are looking for the true rookie parallels mostly. They are worth more than the autos by far. Rough though, you got like $7 back out of 2 FOTL boxes. That's tough.

Hope you went a got a lottery ticket!! the luck of pulling the same shimmer auto in back to back boxes is pretty extordianary. Even if it isn't a player your hoping for. Maybe buy 1 more and see if you can go 3 for 3? agree with your possible assessment that the whole case probably has that card in it.

I've seen a TON of bad boxes, but that might have been the worst so far.
Yeah I would say this is always true with Prizm. With a giant checklist like this there are always gonna be way more bad boxes than good. Looks like prices gonna dip a bit from the 850 presell on regular boxes but we will see how much.

These boxes should top out at $275 for all the garbage boxes in circulation. You'd have to buy a case to get a card that will make your money back. Always tough with Prizm

I think moving forward, Panini is trolling most of the content creators on YT by putting out mostly trash in the FOTL and Hobby boxes and are putting more of a focus on the bigger demographic they have in retail products... and to take that step further, most notably the Mega Boxes. If you look back, the last few products to come out have had less than desirable Hobby boxes but then all the buzz is the following Mega Box releases. Retail blasters have been slightly better but Megas seem to be where it's at in the hobby right now. Which makes sense as I do believe there's probably more of a customer base that buys those (retail) boxes than people who spend in upwards of a thousand dollars on Hobby and with Mega Boxes being slightly more expensive than blasters but still yet affordable by the masses, it seems as if they're able to still get a higher price tag item bought all the while staying within their majority demographic. I could be wrong tho, but just tossing out there what I've seen and then putting some business logic to it, well... it does kinda make sense. Either way, that was some absolute bullshit you got in that $100 per pack hobby box. (Just think about how many Megas you could buy with that... that I'm sure will have some bangers in them to come!). Happy New Year tho lol
