I've never used Kazuya in any previous Tekkens. However T8 Kazuya really interests me. A lot of professional players are saying he's really bad, but honestly I find him looking really viable in the right hands. I may not not be able to just frame EWGF but I'll give him a shot. This helps a lot with seeing how Kazuya players approach in neutral.
He sucks dude, you have to work your ass off 10 times as hard as anyone else, even T7 Kaz was stronger. Better tracking on his key moves and guaranteed knockdowns with db2 and ss3. They took T7 Jin's T Rex arms and gave it to Kaz, his range is horrible now.
@@NYG5 I mean every Kazuya I see just kills it at higher rank fights. Hell I know this MU as well and I always get surprised when a Kazuya crushes me. I'm a Shaheen Main, and we don't have any good defensive buttons other then to jab or a well timed power crush. Shaheen isn't great in T8 but Kazuya I feel has good neutral options here and there for both defense and offense. I agree the range is limited but execution of hell sweep and 50/50s of that or electric seems completely viable.
@@YT-FableKnight I guess after 10 years of playing I really just suck and can ascend past the drag/victor power creep in this game.
@@NYG5 nah man don't beat yourself up. Victor and drag are a god damn nightmare for anyone. Victor isn't particularly strong, but just has outrageous attack properties that are just cheap. Not to mention his current normal throws are bugged with shorter throw break windows.

I was utterly broken by a drag player who could just keep me out with uf4, wr2, and then constant strings and frametraps with his db4 or whatever it is. 15 years of this fuckin game and I get utterly beguiled by a couple of moves, killing myself just trying to do the most basic shit with this character. I was fujin in T7 and now I can't even hold onto mighty ruler, all that time I shoulda just learned an actually useful skill.

just based off the fact he plays right side, and some of his inputs, I'd assume stick. def doesn't look like pad to me
I am still gonna say this as a kazuya main, Tekken 8 kazuya is a bit boring to play as compared to tekken 7
