Thank you for stopping in Yuma. You would be amazed at the variety of history here; from the Native American sleep circles, petroglyphs, training/acclimating troops in preparation for battle in Africa during WWII, and so much more. I am just so glad that you didn't come in the summer. I was running around doing errands yesterday and it was 115 F. The hottest temp I have seen here (and had to work in the desert in it) was 128 F. But, you can't beat our winters!!! May you all continue to have save travels and adventures with God's blessings and protection!
Thank you for you videos. I really do enjoy watching yawls videos. It really enlightens my day as I am a homebound individual that cannot go out in public because of health issues so I live off of seeing videos like yours where I can see this great country not just in the United States, but even when you’re in Canada at your cabin, please keep the great work up. Can’t wait to see your next ones.
Thanks for your comment. We are so glad you are enjoying the videos and that we can take you with us to see beautiful places. Hope you have a wonderful day.
Lived in Yuma on and off for over 10 years. That desert area you went through on these journey’s on the El Camino del Diablo brings back great memories. You should do it again during the fall or spring time when the Marine Corps is conducting their advance aviation weapons training class.
Awesome video as always EFRT. This is a epic adventure the remoteness and the quietness and some epic routes what else can you ask for for a epic adventure. But it makes it 10x epic with family and friends. Thanks for letting us ride along with y'all on y'all's adventures.
Done this road/trip dozens of times! Not dangerous, I literally live on the border in Southeast Arizona and do the trip a few times a year starting at the NM border to Yuma.
Que lindo es viajar junto a uds, realmente me siento parte de esta travesía, un fuerte abrazo y tengan muchísimo cuidado, que Diosito los guíe,cuide y guarde en su camino
Oh yes Peter, that sounds familiar. Before I went into combustion technology, I was with Babcock / Hankock / Wilcock. There was a big power station in Arizina, some boilers were broken. No steam, no electricity. (45 years ago). Our deal, all overtime and bonuses were paid. The bonus, if we finish 4 weeks early, the power company pays us 4 weeks vacation in Arizona. Back then we were out and about for a while, had good supplies and got to know the country. Beautiful, just not in summer. And really, the company paid for everything, no matter what. Those were still good times, laugh. Greetings from Frankfurt and stay healthy.
Carol, I have a go to recipe for you, so Simple! As follows: 1 half of a medium onion, chopped medium, 1 pound of ground beef, 1 small fresh cabbage or half of a large, sliced into strips then diced medium. Flour tortillas, cheese and salsa. Sauté the onions to release them, add the ground beef and brown, add the cabbage, stir together well, cover and stir once in a while until the cabbage has shrunk and is cooked. Serve on the tortilla with cheese and salsa. Happy eating! You could probably use shredded cabbage.
Too cool and great timing! I'm actually headed down there from mid Colorado in the next week. Already have the needed BMGR Permit & resources. Going to traverse east to west from Ajo (visit some friends there). Good hole in the wall Mexican food stop in town square, El Tarasco. I'll east to west it to Yuma, then work my way north to the Am. Adv. Desert Rendezvous up near Quartzsite. Going to run it in my Ram 2500 with a 650 pound pop-up. Your bigger heavier rig looks like it does well. hehehe.......and I have had similar grocery catapulting in the past as well. I try to get groceries stowed first, but sometimes you gotta get moving. I use Mountain Smith zip close cube bags for food shopping, and keep the groceries low, forward, and center till I can properly secure them. Looking forward to the continued episodes. Travel Safe ! Maybe see Matt at Moore Expo. Hitting Arkansas for the eclipse, then to Moore after.

We’re planning on doing the Arizona peach Trail here shortly and watching you guys gets me so pumped up. Thanks for sharing your time with us. My first thoughts before I read any comments were Cartel country please leave the area! I was glad to see the common sense displayed! Love the family and videos!
Great video! You're really putting the F350 through its paces and finding out what it can do. Looks like with common sense you can go just about anywhere you want to go. The land is so stark and barren, yet beautiful!
I did that trip last year, but in reverse and during the real bumpy/ shaky section you experienced in the beginning, I had blown all four shocks on my 01 Tahoe. I ended up rebuilding the front end and adding new rear HD springs, shocks, and a leveling kit .
Near the beginning where you filmed Lando running by, he sounded like a steam locomotive the way he was breathing. Such a cool doggy. Great video. Love that you are doing it with another of my favorite channels and people, OOA.
Holy cow! Great story-telling! I love your music choices and cinematography; the radios add such an intense “Cops” vibe! (Voiceovers are a bit monotonous…need more emotion…less reading) But I’m a new subscriber and super stoked to keep an eye on your adventures! (I’ve got a 17yr old wanting to do what you’re doing! 😬) Cheers! Renee 💕

Wild, historic country! The desert is so very vast and different…I am of course enamored by you friends Frenchie ( we have 2, Jumbie and Pippi + the two big ones but only Charlie is in my profile pic)! They are adorable, not quite as sporty as Lando but so playful and loving 🥰 Jeez, hot ordinance 😳 Sending 🙏🏻 for continued safe travels 😉

WOW , just WOW . If this vlog isn’t a commercial for the Ross Monster or a jeep without a working 4x4 idk what is lol . Definitely showed the capabilities of the Ford better. Tipping my hat off to you guys going that close to the southern border nowadays because i probably wouldn’t do it ( especially through a target range 🤷♂️😂). PS:did y’all find lando’s 4 th missing booty ? Little guy might need his lockers on ( boots, and probably Carol needed boots also in that clip 😉😂). Loving this phase of your adventures ( maybe start a new season playlist?).
Yes, we have been so impressed with the Rossmönster so far. It hasn’t held us back from any trails we normally would do and it’s great to have the comforts of home with us when we set up camp. We never did find his fourth boot. 🐾 h
I'm trying really hard to understand how this kind of travelling is enjoyable. I wish I could, but obviously it's definitely not for me. But the scenery is beautiful. That's a big plus.
Yes, it’s definitely not for everyone, but sometimes the harder, the trail, the more epic the views. To get out to a place where you are all alone enjoying nature’s solitude you usually have to cross some rough trails. Thanks for watching and we appreciate your support. Have a wonderful day.
Thank you. I've watched many of your beautiful video productions. Please tell me what songs you're playing in the background? The music is so soothing melodious and enjoyable. It sounds like the voices of young men and a few soft instruments. Much appreciated :D

Yes, he probably would although it is always better to go with a friend no matter what remote trail you are on. 👍🏻 the only sketchy area was on the east end. It seems most people start in the east and head west to Yuma. That way you can get through the Organ Pipe reserve area in one day and camp further out in the wilderness.

Please stay safe Also concerned with some of the weather patterns changing out there in Arizona and Nevada with unusual rain patterns that you guys are not familiar with the water flow patterns in those areas and there could be flooding!
