I really appreciate the silent film style gags and giggles to fill time while you assembled the lasagna. It definitely made the process a lot longer than it needed to be, but it was well worth it!
Lasagna is one of those things that really saved me during college. People really underestimate how cheap you can make a good lasagna. Make a simple meat pasta sauce, and you have a meal for the night. The leftover sauce you can use to make a large lasagna and Where the sauce would props per usual only last one or two more servings with regular pasta, the lasagna can be cut into pieces frozen down and give you dinner for about 4-6 more days. And the cost for sheets are cheep and béchamel sauce is easy to make.
in here lasagna sheets are the most expensive type of pasta, there are about 400 rn against 120 normal dry noodles so we always made lasagna with crepes/thin pancakes. I'm honestly still hoping to taste real lasgna one day
Felt. I would do so many pasta bakes in college. I would make one on Sunday night, then basically have meals for M-F during classes. 10/10 would recommend.
@@muspell612 I can buy pack of sheets for the same price as a regular bag of the full grain pasta, and it's cheaper than some of the fancier ones. So I don't know where you would buy your sheets to make them the most expensive 😅
@@BlackMrMaxjust a different country probably. i’ve found that some other countries have things prices rlly strangely in comparison to the us or other similar ones

You should have Lilly be her own team on this format and make a 3rd dish by herself to compete with the other 2! I would love the awkwardness of her talking to the camera making it on her own while getting jeered by josh and travor (WICKED SMAAAAT) off camera.
This was a great episode 😂 it was unhinged in a good way haha. Josh’s 311 reference towards the end was gold and so was him mentioning his roommate. Nicole and Vee killed it though with the dish! You guys are awesome
I literally love the music, editing and the old movie bit that Josh and Trevor did honestly died laughing. Also its an automatic win whenever Jordyn makes an appearance!
Nicole and Vi should be called Team Envi, not only because it's their initials pronounced phonetically, but Josh and Trevor are envious of how many times they win 😂
Watching Josh pull the pot off of a fiery red cooktop while he explains the dish, because once again... the pan was too hot before any ingredient was added and production needed to be stopped for smoke or burning... was like finally watching a child grow and learn from their mistakes. Our mythical kitchen crew are growing up. Not all grown up, but maybe in their tweens.
Lasagna is at the top of my list of foods, it was the meal that helped me bulk for training. When done right, it's like a symphony of flavor in your mouth. Thank you for respecting the dish!
Also, the montage with Josh and Trevor made me laugh so hard that my stomach hurt and I couldn't breathe. It reminded me of those early 20th century slapstick comedy shows and movies (which I believe was the intent)
as a masshole, i appreciate the random boston references. especially if y'all have never been here and are acting wholly on stereotypes. A++++. addendum: nicole and vee are adorable
A mythical chopped style competition where the teams are given a random box of ingredients and have to make dishes and the one that isn't competing judges without knowing who made which
Josh coming out of nowhere talking about Frog And Toad. I remember those books from elementary school. I don't think they had a motorcycle with a sidecar. They did have a double bike though. The motorcycle with sidecar reminds me of Wallace And Gromit.
You guys should do a busting lasagna myths!!! Boil vs non boil Hand made vs dry Cooked sauce vs non cooked vs store bought Beef vs pork vs 50-50 vs others
First off, the wicked smhart still lives and I couldn't be more happy. Second, is Nicole quoting the Ice Cream Paint Job remix from Lol Wayne? I friggin love this show❤
Judge saying “I feel like I’m watching Mr. Bean over here.” Come on. 3 Stooges. Felix the Cat. Didn’t have a wise guy moment. Slapstick comedy references are not on point, but a really great show. Always look forward to the releaes of episodes.
Olive Garden is not frozen. It’s prepared fresh in advanced. Then is warmed up in the microwave. I learned this awhile ago from after ordering lasagna to bring home. You can also Google it and it will say it’s prepared in advanced and then microwaved.
I can't imagine anything less entertaining than Josh not taking a risk and losing because of it. At least when he makes something barely edible it's because he went all out with his wackiness. Is there anything more of an antithesis to Mythical than a normal, plainass lasagna? What a shame I still remember as a child, I was watching the cooking channel because I couldn't find anything else to watch, and I watched in awe as Emeril Lagasse made a Lobster Lasagna. That was the first time I ever saw a professional chef do something, and it was also maybe the moment I fell in love with food.
Josh how dare you bring up the 2011 Stanley cup win for the Boston Bruins. As a Vancouverite that series brings up heavy trauma, and while it was fun smashing up our city it took years of therapy to get over it.
I haven’t watched this channel in a bit but I’ve come back and oh how I’ve missed Josh and Trevor’s hijinks and bro vibes, and Vi and Nicole radiating badass goddess power from my screen. 😍
This was such a funny episode to watch. I personally have never been able to enjoy lasagna but it was so much fun watching everyone make some. Especially Josh and Trevor with their old timey slapstick bit. 😂
I love how trevor went from being tame and timid to shouting "meaty bottoms" on impulse
okay that slapstick part made me cry with laughter, josh and trevor wouldve been an amazing vaudeville duo
The constant callback to it is what sent me 🤣
How they Managed to avoid burning each other and the dish is impressive
It's like Harold Lloyd, but cooking!
@@giraffesinc.2193 they need to make this the title of a new weekly series
Pure gold
The old-timey comedy bit between Trevor and Josh is, in all honesty, peak comedy for me and I love it.
Josh and Trevor’s lasagna layering was insanely entertaining
Yeah, the teams should be Trevor and Vi versus Josh and Nicole. The personality clash between Josh And Nicole would make the self destruct.
Was about to say how much I want that to happen. Also imagine if Josh and Nicole LOST.
It’s just like in school, best friends never get on the same team🥲😂

I really appreciate Josh’s 311 “Amber is the color of your energy” quote.
loved it lol, also to match their 'green energy' iykyk
Best part is it going over everyone head lol
I never comment but when that 311 joke just went right over their heads sadface😅
"I haven't really considered the sexuality of frogs" Is a sentence I'd never thought I'd hear. But you should be THAT on a t-shirt!
I was not expecting such a good Alex Jones impression from Trevor. Good job
I fully expect the old-timey Josh and Trevor bit to be made into a short soon. As it should be.
LMAO Vi's reaction and face after Davin's "interesting" at 19:48 took me all the way out. I replayed it like 4 times

When Trevor started kicking Josh, that was the funniest thing I've ever seen on this channel 😂😂
At the end, Josh killed Trevor with that last joke. "Do you have any percocets?"
Josh and Trevor cooked lasagna the way I imagined Toad and Frog would cook lasagna.
Why is no one talking about that subtle but not subtle flipping from Josh at like 6 minutes? Creatively done, my man!

We need to talk about how good Trevor's impression of daddy Alex Jones was😂😂😂
I love how Josh and Trevor both go for the eye pokes, yet are both wearing glasses.
You know that they are true chefs when they can play kitchen twister and still make a plate of food
Trevor’s Alex Jone impression is pretty great.
Thank you mythical kitchen for bringing joy and yumminess into our lives. Every dish you make has both chaos and love cooked into its foundation.
