SOPRANO at the top, then ALTO, then TENOR - this is how harmony works 👌 Thank you sir 👏
My pleasure
Since I'm a tenor singer, whatever Soprano is singing, I'll just count three intervals forward and then drop the octave to get my part
@@A-prince_ correct 👍
@@ElevateVocalplease how do you figure the bass line in harmony? Is it also three notes behind tenor?
Finally a Music teacher I can Understand 😊😊
Thank you
@@ElevateVocal Pls can u be my teacher sir
Honestly! This is the first time I'm seeing someone demystifying this thing for me😊❤❤

I don't have the right words to express my joy. This is exactly what I have been looking for. An answered prayer.
Glory to God who leads us right where He needs us.
God bless you.
Amen
Wow 😳. This is great. I wish they did more vocal workshops or technical vocal nights in churches but unfortunately people don't have the time. Thank you this is what a lot us were looking for .
This backup singers are madly on 🔥
Awesome. I learned to count 3 intervals backward from each part to identify each part & the rules for achieving a smooth harmony.
Welldone to the team.
This 3 backups are mad 🔥
When it comes to overlapping, it depends on the type of musical style and or harmony. Sometimes harmony overlaps. But in this type of music you are talking about, overlapping may not be allowed. That is what your music needs. However, the type of harmony you are teaching here is a parallel harmony which makes it almost impossible to have an overlaping. Sometime in counterpoint harmony, there can be an incidental overlaping. In canons and rounds overlaping occurs too. It all depends on what the composer wants to achieve or the effect s/he wants to create. Music don't have strict rules. However, before you break them, you should be aware of them. Don't work in the 'dark'. Go check some of the works of great music masters like Joseph Haydn Mozart, etc they used overlaping in their hamonies at some point. However thanks for this insight... you are a good teacher.
Soprano(baritone), tenor, alto, soprano (higher octave)-- the circle continues
Further explanation will do

I learnt a lot of new things from this video. Great work sir
Very Good,so blessed🙏🏽
Great video sir! Please can you do a video on how to know who takes the melody of a song. Especially when it’s not rehearsed; maybe a pastor comes and take a song.
This is my rule on that, if the lead singer is an alto let the melody go to alto, if the lead is tenor let the melody go to tenor, same for soprano
Okay thank you sir @@ElevateVocal

Brother thanks
Beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
How about Mezzo soprano?
How would we find baritone/bass part.
This content is incredibly helpful
Good teaching 👍
Very good video, sir. Few thoughts...
1. Harmonic parts are always relative, and based on the key the song is sang in...which then determines who will sing the melody (S/A/T)....and finally identify the Harmonic parts that support the Melody you previously established. As you said, you do that by moving up/down the intervals to find the other Harmonic parts.
2. Overlapping of parts is quite beautiful when done correctly. For instance, if the Altos are holding the SO (5) for a while, while the Sopranos run lower than that SO based on the needs of their part. Or if there is a bunch of tune movements (and timings), and the parts eventually land on an appropriate chord. Ultimately, the overlapping can only be temporary.
3. I'm legit starting to prefer skillful slurs and rifs during harmonies when there is no more than 2 singers per Harmonic part. It's a more contemporary style that gives a breath of fresh air. It's the difference between live singing and studio recording, or climatic statements and solemn Choruses.
Well done again. Remain blessed.
Thanks teacher😊 👍
God bless you bro

What about songs where TENOR is the highest key. Isn't it correct?
You mean where the tenor is the highest pitch?
very explicit
how do we denoted bass part
Hmmm... Impressive.
Where we fit see you? Physical class needed o
Make more videos of group ,,harmonization sir,,,,this is excellent.
I have a question..is there any rule guilding harmony placement in a song? For example what harmony part would tenors sing when a male is leading a song?
Several factors could determine
preferrably the melody, it's usually fuller when the melody is in the part of the person leading
I wonder if anybody has mentioned that dude looks like a singing mike Vick..?
Coming directly from tiktok
Tenor is not practically lower than alto
That's my take too. I female tenor singers who I advise to sing the note higher than alto while the male alto singers may sing below, but every teacher has his style.
Nice where's your location
We run online classes alone
sir i am a drummer and i want drum for u sir please
I hate the filter on the vocal. It should have been raw
Okay
what about bass part
not really common in modern music
