This is a Supercut of my entire experience in Elden Ring after my first 12 hours of gameplay. I am currently on my Honeymoon so I couldn't make a new video, but I wanted to put together something for new viewers to see and get caught up with my journey! For those who have already seen my first 12 hours, don't worry I have a brand new video coming soon when I return home! Once again, thank you to EVERYONE for your absolutely incredible support on the channel. I cannot tell you how much it all means to me. If your new, subscribe! Things are only just getting started here on Never Before...
actually never seen someone die to soldier of godrick like the very first thing the game told you is to guard counter which the enemy is weak of. also it looks like right at the beginning of the game. he doesn't really pay attention or read any of the things the game is telling him. Lmao
It's funny to me that most people who played games for their whole life can't comprehend the fact that people who didn't grow up as a gamer can't just casually control their character and just use the things the game is telling you. If you ever let a girl/women play a game for their first time or even older people you would know that even moving your character while looking with the camera AT THE SAME TIME can be a very complicated thing to do. Sure we would think 'it's just normal, how are you so dumb?' but it's like breathing for us.
I love seeing people equipping the Godrick armour and loving it, swinging around and jump attacking with BHF. "Why do all these messages call them dogs?!" got me good.
"I keep dying from stupid stuff". Like 80% of deaths in these games are user inflicted. Not aware of surroundings, falling off cliffs etc. My first time playing Dark Souls, most of my deaths were falling off cliffs or getting myself cornered, trying to dodge enemy attacks.
@@IVismarried1974 They're making a distinction between forced errors (ones where they still made mistakes but as a consequence of reaction to ai enemy behaviour, traps, etc), versus unforced errors, like riding off an obvious cliff or checking if a drop is too far to survive by jumping into it.
Is it tho? I definitely do not feel like it is my fault, when one of the brightest decisions of the devs was to put the dodge-action on a key RELEASE instead of a press. I literally cannot count how many times i have pressed the button, but my character did not dodge, because it requires two actions to do, and my fingers just aren't quick enough.
Massive respect for actually fighting the crab and beating it. Most people just ignore them since they are so annoying. You even went back to get the rest of them. Gamer moment right there.
No goal is too small or easy. It’s really cool when people commit instead of getting frustrated and quitting. When I started my first souls experience I had to tell myself that I needed to practice and so to understand I threw myself into a boss fight I wasn’t ready for and fought him until I won. After that I had learned so much more of the game than I knew going in. So I love seeing videos like this. We all sucked until eventually we got gud. It’s such a rewarding experience when you accept the process. Great job man!
@@ikedogman1 This guy’s innocence inspired me so much that I made a new character who’s goal is to just do everything in Limgrave and Liurnia first. There is so much I missed out on due to bee-lining to the endgame stuff.
Elden Ring is probably the best experience to get into the franchise. Once you've beaten this game, it'll make the logic of certain things in older games easier to learn and adapt to. Except jump. Old games don't have a dedicated jump.
I am loving this series. I think one of my favorite parts is seeing you progressively learn how to do things better, but even more than that, I love listening to you trying to sus out the rules of the game mechanics and occasionally get stuff wrong. It feels very organic and it's refreshing to watch a player really grapple with the game in an authentic way. Elden Ring was my first souls game too, so I had to go through the same learning curve. Never lay your foolish ambitions to rest.

I’m looking forward to your next video! It’s so fun to watch elden ring with a fresh set of eyes. One of the best things about the game is how every time you think you’ve gotten so far, a whole new world of craziness opens up in the game. Can’t wait for the next video!
i think my favorite part of NB flying thru the tutorial and not actually reading it and then not knowing how to do stuff later is how often i hear this story happening to people. I feel like the only idiot who started a new game in a genre i had never played before and actually read the tutorials.
When I first started Elden Ring, I didn't read and gave up, but like a year later, I took the time to read and things make more sense. I still die a lot tho lol
I read the entire tutorial too since elden ring was my first souls game. I don’t know why new people just fly through the tutorial and then complain how the game is too hard.
Since I've watched (and properly enjoyed) every single video that went into this supercut, and don't yet need a reminder, I will simply leave it play silently while watching something else on another devise -- to show the algorithm just how much I'm invested in this man's TH-cam career. And so should you, if you can and are willing!
This was amazing! I want to see more! I hope you avoid spoilers! I feel like your approach to the game is going to make it seem like it's to easy but that is because you are actually exploring the game and it is rewarding you with more levels and better items. The slow approach is the way to go in Elden ring for your first time for sure!
the thing that caused the sudden jump from the game being really hard to really easy was you meeting the level requirements for your bloodhound fang. not meeting level requirements basically halves the damage from a weapon, and bloodhound's fang is just a very strong weapon
I have put 15 hours into malenia blade of Miquella alone and I never noticed that you can stun a bloodhound knight by hitting them mid jump attack. New players always find cool new strategies that I never did; it’s actually really awesome
Bloodhounds Finesse is a two part weapon. You can learn more about an item by pressing X button in your inventory and equipment screens. With weapons it will describe the weapon and any specialties it may have as well as it's weapon skill/ash of war. Very useful. At the bottom of menu screens it will tell you what button does what. Helpful af. Edit: Spinning Slash is also a two part ash o' war. It says in its description: Additional input allows for a follow-up attack. Hope all this is helpful for you in your journey in the Lands Between Tarnished!
Most of these white messages are planted by other players, not FromSoftware. Calling turtles dogs, placing a "try finger but hole" next to a corpse, or writing "i want to go home… and then edge!" is just kind of humor of the community and also a product of how messages are constructed. If a message you planted gets rated by another player, it'll refill your HP btw.
Ngl, I was popping a vein watching you trying to figure out the critical/backstab 😂 aspect. Nonetheless, this was seriously entertaining and it was nice to see your progression.
Hey, I just wanted to comment so I can boost engagement to your channel. This was an incredible watch, brilliantly edited, and enjoyably written. Definitely a hidden gem of a channel, looking forward to seeing what comes next.
I was shocked that this video wasn't from a multi-million subscriber channel, it definitely has the quality and polish of one. Hope to see more from you
Just to save you some time in case you hadn't figured this out by now: you don't have to run all the way back to the lever in dungeons every time you die. Once you open the door you can just run straight to the boss. Also, try to keep your character at medium weight. The lower your weight class, the longer your character is invulnerable during a dodge. Being always at least medium weight will make it a lot easier to dodge. Light rolling is nice, but probably not worth the tradeoff of having basically no armor for a new player.
Stoked to see the series continue! Ngl I’ve made a few new characters and beat the main game/ dlc probably 4 or 5 times since the series started, but this is keeping me feeling that nostalgia first play through feeling every time. Love the content bro
I was gonna let you know: your back stabs weren't coming out because you are holding forward on your stick, to back stab you can't input on your control stick or it won't come out. Just a little tip, I had this problem back in 2018 when I started with DS Remastered, I really enjoyed your video btw. 💓 Edit: You do NOT have to hold down RB / R1 to backstab, just position yourself behind the enemy, let go of your stick, and tap R1. You'll get a feel for it eventually. 😊
This was so fun! I have been a Fromsoftware fan for years and spent hundreds of hours on Elden Ring. I think sometimes we can take familiar things for granted, so it's been really great seeing you so excited discovering the Lands Between. Congrats on the video!
man it was wild to watch your progression, from getting slapped around by base enemies to 1-shotting the Leonine misbegotten, sick. I also didnt realize the Bloodhound's fang has that secondary heavy attack blink-effect for the longest time, so nice to see someone else not getting it right away
PLEASE, keep making these videos, I love seeing how new players play this game. All the silly mistakes your making are funny and intressting. I cant wait for new uploads and I hope your going to keep playing without using internet (wiki and guides).

Going for lighter armor to get out of the "heavy equip load" situation improves your dodge rolls. Besides "medium", there is also a "light" equip load tier - it improves dodge roll distance and invincibility frames further.
this was super refreshing and entertaining to see as you progressed on your own and had the mind to learn on your own and see everything as a personal challenge to overcome well done on your first steps into a new and massive world. Welcome to the lands between fellow tarnished o7
As a guy with thousands of hours across these games it's awesome to watch a genuinely fresh playthrough. Seeing you figure things out as you go is refreshing. Keep it up! My quick tip is that you can score those big staggers for critical strikes more often by using bigger attacks (charge R2, jump R2). And a more detailed breakdown if you want (disregard if this is too backseat-y): all enemies and bosses have a hidden meter that you wear down called "stance." When it reaches zero, you get the big stagger. Bigger attacks and heavier weapon classes do more stance damage. But if you don't hit them for a few seconds, it will regenerate...so keep the pressure on! Throw a dagger, do a rolling R1, any hit will reset the stance regen timer.
Amazing! I'm also a new Elden Ring player (although I've progressed a bit more than you) and I must say it's pretty entertaining to watch another beginner play and learn. Editing is great as well!

This is a wonderful walkthrough. Eldon Ring was my first From Software game and your experiences are so similar to my own! I've just started my second play though and what is interesting is how much I actually learnt. Like by the end of my first play though I had this inkling I completed it simply because my character was strong. The second play through is showing me how much I had actually learnt. Like getting through the gate front ruins first attempt!
This was awesome! I just started the game a couple of weeks ago as well. Have 30 hours played so far and it is just epic! Funny how you one shot some of the bosses I struggled hard with and have a hard time at spots I breezed through. Keep up the good work!

31:59 I love this mindset trying to figure out anything to increase your chances, it may not have been right but you tried it
Can’t wait to watch the rest of your journey. Good stuff bro.
Its incredible to me that he wandered from the tibia mariner fight and ALL the way to the third church of marika without finding anything in between. Love this series and im interested for more
I love this series ❤
Very well done production. The scripting, editing, and voice work are very entertaining.
Subbed. cant wait for more episode, put numbers on your title so people know the order. This compiled one is so good.
Like getting through the gate front ruins first attempt!
this is super entertaining love it 😁I love seeing how you discover and figure out things one by one so satisfying :)
This was awesome!
I just started the game a couple of weeks ago as well. Have 30 hours played so far and it is just epic! Funny how you one shot some of the bosses I struggled hard with and have a hard time at spots I breezed through. Keep up the good work!
Really awesome video lad, keep up the great work warrior!
You just won yourself a devoted subscriber 🤘🤘🤘
Love the format and energy ❤
I loved this video from start to finish and eagerly await the next one. Definitely gained a subscriber
I can’t wait to see your path! Very entertaining thanks to high quality and great storytelling. I really enjoy long videos, so i hope you’ll keep those tempo or even slower. Thank you for the great content. Hope you’ll enjoy this amazing game.
first time around here, the commentary was so good I stayed around till the very end!
The Elden Ring Warrior supercut !
As a Souls Veteran, I love to see someone new start his journey , very entertaining! Looking forward to more!
So glad you've enjoyed!! Got a new episode coming out in the next few days!
Subscribe button, you are mine.
You definitely need to do a follow up and show your journey and progress through the game. This was a great video with great spirit and a lot of fun to watch. I look forward to more!
Not gonna lie, you kept me interested the entire video. Cant wait till you upload more!
bro, keep it up. doing a great job. awesome vidoes
This is great! Love the editing style
You've become a fine elden ring warrior sir.
On the edge of my seat, tbh; this was way more exciting than most challenge runs I've seen on this game.
Thanks for the experience. Looking forward to pick up Elden Ring after i finish AC 6 which i started a few days ago. First FromSoft games for me.
I'm excited to see when you figure out map icons.
Nice video bro. Can't wait to see next video 😊
You've got some real fun stuff waiting for you in Stormveil. I think you've prepped well for it though. Exploring and getting some levels and cool gear is the best way to prepare for what's coming there.
man i loved to watch, going to part 2 now!
The panic dodges are so real when you first play. I can remember spamming it till it worked
awesome journey, first time experiencing souls is so good :D sad to see you still hadn't figured out parrying up to this point :P I m off to part2, the adventures continue lol
I honestly think you did a good job in this video good mix of info funny and gameplay
Can't wait for the new episode! Take rest, prepare, enjoy honeymoon, i am exactly at the same level and in the same place as you in my first playthrough :D
In your inventory menu is a list of all the tutorials. Right there at your fingertips. Every time you get a pop-up tutorial it's right there in your inventory menu. I think it's the last page.
57:41 "...to finally see it come to an end, is pure benis"
I'd love to see your reaction when you realised those weren't bosses XD
It was fun to watch your progress reminded me my first dark souls days nostalgia kicked in :D Pling pling plong
STOP GIVING HIM ADVICE!!
If you want to watch a pro go watch a pro, PLEASE.
Its amazing that there are new people even playing the game who haven't played the series PLEASE don't give him too much help.
I wanna see him suffer 😆
agreed. the whole appeal is to watch someone going in blind. instead of taking advice from players who know the game inside out
Nah he do need a bit of help tho some of this shit is just basic game knowledge or reading
@@ghost1182ableidiot
If its something he was too dumb to read when doing the tutorial, you best bet your ass ill give him advice. I'm here to watch a new player try a game, not a monkey throwing shit at a wall.
@@ghost1182ableyeah like. I've watched aton of youtubers going in blind and not be as bad as him lol. it's just simple reading and you'll not get lost in the game ever. also not paying attention. like Irina's talking and she introduced herself as Irina and he still pronounced the name wrong lmao
Hey! Just found your channel and just wanna say that I really love your style and editing! Keep it up
I can’t wait to watch you beat this 🤙
I envy you so much, the first experience is amazing ^_^ Great video, great commentary, bringing so many good and also wtf moments from my own first playthrough. Wish I was able to experience this first time again, alas, after 700 hours I'm unable to even start the character normally XD instead going for needed stuff I want for my build all over the Lands Between, so I can play the desired build from the very start 🤣
This series is GOLD.
More... I am not sated... Feed me more...
those first hours where you have no clue where to go or whats even happening are pure gold
Damn, the music you use in the bg is really good. Wish I knew what it was.
Really good quality videos from a channel with what appears to have a small sub count. Cool.
Keep up the good work and congratulations
Can't wait til.the nect entry bro. Great stuff
