    Just replaced my rear wiper motor and got a new wiper arm on my 740! This was super helpful. Thanks a ton!

    Wrenching outside (sporting a nice tweed cap), because the old rickety shed you keep your classic Volvo in is to small to let you wrench on it inside. And this fact doesn't seem to bother you in the slightest... Even if my sound was off I would think to myself: -"The plates are German, but I'm pretty sure this bloke is from England"... 😁👍

      Haha yeah, you can take the man out of England...

    This was great. What was a neat surprise was seeing the beautiful and rate 77-79 Ford LTD II Brougham go by. The odd thing is that if you know what to do is that the Ford with a 5.8 litre V8 engine is capable of using less fuel on the highway than a Volvo with a 2.3 litre 4. I have seen as low as 7l/100km in a 79 Thunderbird, which is the same car, with a slightly different body. The Thunderbird in question had somewhere north of 800,000 km on the clock.

      It's totally crazy, these redblocks are so thirsty for what they are, this 940 does about 14l/100km around the city, if it had at least 2 more cylinders I would be more okay with it 😄

      Maybe the motors suffer too much from all the tailgate slamming 😂

    This seems to be just a car thing, fix break and fix again.

    Its a good idea to take the main rear screen wiper shaft apart and lubricate it occasionally, my one on my 945 was running slow, then eventually seized up, and I couldn't un-seize it - had to buy a replacement mechanism from a scrappy. Also I noticed when you took the rear card off & on, you didn't disconnect/reconnect the lead for the central brake light - is the central brake light working? Another great vid by the way, thanks.

      Thanks for the tip! This video is one from the archives 😄 I can't remember to be honest, that car went off to Portugal over a year ago now 😮

    What baffles me, is how did the wiper motor, become loose, what happen to the screws that hold it in place, at least you fixed now it is like new.

    • @Involvod
      @Involvod  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's really strange, how they fell out and disappeared! Someone must have forgotten to put them in 😃

      @@Involvod At least you have your trusty screws, which look like the regular ones, if you ever have aparts car, please take all the screws, and widing you can eventually you will be using them, that is what I learned now ,I keep a jar,can or any place with screws, and all important pieces related to the car,

    Well done :) do you know how to fix the rear wiper flush? My rear wiper works just fine but no water comes from the nozzle above the rear window. Cheers from sweden.

      I have this same issue right now! Not sure if the line is clogged or a blown fuse?
      The rear spray nozzle piece is new and had worked for a few months. Thought it was jammed with ice but now that it’s warmer still no washer fluid comes out.
      Did you end up sorting it out?
      Thanks in advance!

    One thing... buy/get some proper tools and jacks when you repair/maintain your own cars.
