PSA: I just fixed mine, however my solenoid was not "sticky" from some adhesive or deteriorated sponge/felt padding. on the contrary, there was no padding on mine to begin with. as it turns out, the two metal pieces became magnetized (electromagnet) and were sticking together by magnetism. i added a few layers of masking tape (because electrical tape's adhesive is not very strong). i put tape on each plate, the springy part and the base. popped it back in and now it prints. FYI, the "paper jam" is on purpose. Because the solenoid is not functioning as it should, which causes an infinite number of papers to spit out, the printer immediately senses something is wrong and forces it to jam on purpose, so you don't waste a ton of paper or burn out the machine.
thanks. it worked like a charm, just need to remove the covers in the right order. so its not meant to be a sticky clip? but why does it look like there is tape on the metal clip? strange
What is the name of the paper feed switch called? I remove the sticky pad to fix multiple page feed issue, after 3 days paper always jammed on second page. Can i use double sided tape?
I don't know what is this but I give a like 😊
I fixed it. I solved it with acetone cotton swab.Thanx a lot.
Thanks bro. It worked.
Thank you. Fixed my HP laserjet 1020 issue. Used solvent to clean instead of tape
