Consciousness exists, but it is not something any person can claim to possess or control. If I say, "I own the sun", the sun is unaffected. Other people's interactions with the sun are unaffected. This is what consciousness is like.
Everyday I think about Death. Doesn’t matter rich or poor. We all going to die one day. I want to be able to let go. I been training. Still, I’m unable to let go of this Body and world. I wish one day I will be able to Let go!

The idea of a permanent, infinite self, also brings dukka. To realize the Dhamma, one must see that nothing is there at all. It is all Maya(illusion), and a construct of the mind. The Khandhas of the body unite to create an illusion that there is an observer, but in true reality, nothing is there. Only Khandhas. This is where the beginning of freedom lies; in that realization.
