Thank you very much! I purchased a B23 a few months ago and am prepping it for winter. I like the wood block ramps. Even with the casters up, the deck wanted to roll with the tractor.
Good video but how do you install the belly mower HARDWARE on the B2320 tractor? I want to add a belly mower to my tractor because the pto finish mower doesn't work very well on uneven ground, it keeps breaking finish mower wheel bearings.
@@loafandjug321 I have a 1310 tractor with a 59" Caroni PTO finish mower and have never had a problem with gauge wheels for 30 years use on really rough, hilly and bumpy terrain. I love the PTO mower because you use the PTO lift to access the blades easily.
Yes. There's a pin with an ring retainer that will go through the brass piece that attaches to each end of the lift bar. Lift the assembly up on each side and rotate the brass piece to align with the hole in the lift arm. Insert pin through both and install ring in hole on end of pin. This will keep your lift arms in the up position.

@@appalachiandiy2415 There are slip rings to pin the arms up on my B7510. I hang the front of the tractor from my car hoist to clear the mower unit. It was a four minute job to put on or remove back when I was friskier.
Where did you get thermally metal ramps shown in your great video? Use to manhandle my RCK 60 24 b mower. Now I’m 75 and arthritic and damn if it didn’t get a little tougher😂
how do you attach the parts that come with the mower to the tractor. I have a B3030 and Rck60-30. the instructions to add the parts to the tractor are terrible. I can not figure it out. I have lots of parts that came with the mower and no place to put them i appears that i nee to install something on the rear lift.

I have a Kubota BX23 S which comes with a backhoe so that is why I went with the belly mower. I haven’t had it that long, but I took the mower off once and couldn’t get it back on because apparently I bent some linkage underneath. The dealer had to replace the linkage and was able to get it back on. After all I have heard I am dreading taking it off now!
To lower the lifting arms press all the way down on your raise-lower lever for the deck they should come down on their own. What hook up at the back are you referirng to?
I have a 2019 60" MMM RCK60-BA on my B2650 and the deck is NOT for riding over to get it in place. Not recommended for all decks, varies by the model apparently - others you can ride over. The 72" MMM is also built differently than the 60". The BX decks are different than those made for the B series. As I said, my model of 60" finish mower is NOT made for riding over. I am able to work the mower deck under the tractor with a sideways "crab crawl". I do this on my driveway and not in the grass so I have a hard surface to work on. I turn the deck wheels and also turn the tractor's front wheels to the right (or left) before trying to get the deck under the tractor. It does take some effort, but it works. The other steps are the same for making the connections of the shaft, pins, and front bracket. Another technique: I've seen other vids where the front of the tractor is raised by using the FEL a little. This gives you more wiggle and work room while trying to slide the deck in place. Of course, this method only works if you still have the FEL on before you attempt the deck install, though. I generally take my FEL off for the summer when mowing only. Your mileage may vary. :-)
The stress you are putting on the outer pulleys, shafts, bearings, and seals just isn't worth the convenience. My 2000 RCK 60-24B deck weighs 350 pounds and you cannot drive over it. I'm sure Kubota is shedding even more weight on the newer decks. It may be "easy" but something has to give when driving half of a 1600 pound tractor over it.

yep!
It looked straightforward enough, but you never know if there's some secret trick to make it easier. Thanks for making this so we can double check.
No problem. Thanks for the reply!
Thanks for the video. Very helpful install and removal. Best tip(for me) was use the blocks of wood.
glad it helped! The blocks just seem to work better.
Thanks so much for making this video! Helped me a bunch today...much better than the manual. :)
Yea manuals tend to suck. Thanks!

Mine came with the hardware on. so cant really help you there sorry
@@appalachiandiy2415 Ok, thanks anyway. Btw, don't ever buy a pto finish mower unless you have flat land.
@@loafandjug321 good to know cuz I live on the side of a hill!
@@appalachiandiy2415 Im in the foothills, not much flat land here. The best would be a floating mower deck.

Aren’t you supposed to raise the wheels so the deck is flat on the ground?
Those are so you dont bottom out the deck, going over bumps hitting the dirt with the blades
Is there a way to pin the lifting arms to the frame when mower deck is not in use? That way they down lower with the 3pt
Put the deck adjustment nob in the top position.
@Chad S MJA has a good suggestion, but there is no way to pin the arms up

When you say B Series Kubota, does that include the BX Series as well?
It does not. However, BX series does come off the same as a B series. The BX series mostly have decks that are NOT drive-over so be care of that.

Thanks for the demo.
Do you know if all Kubota mower decks can be driven over? Or is that something new.
hmmm I don't think all Kubota decks are meant to be driven over. I think that's the way they are leaning towards for new mowers though
