You can use the bed as a weapon. All you have to do is put the bed at the end block where the dragon is going straight to and press the bed to make it explode.

Rayne to get the dragon egg you need to hit it so that it teleports to another block and then you need to mine the block that's under the block the dragon egg is on. Then place a torch where you broke the block and pick up the egg
