How come you don’t know that P1 costs 5.65 lakhs? I am sure Yatri has done way intensive market research than any of us here. I do agree with ABS but not by removing carbon fiber. And let’s not compare NS with Yatri. One is a production commodity while another is a hand made piece of art combined with smart and latest tech.

Design wise, its better to have rear brake as footbrake and give that mode changer (from suste, thikka, babaal) at the left side as gear lever and also add accelerator cut off in place of clutch .... it would give bike feel... else it will feel like a scooter😂
Scooter like drive is the best combo which petrol motorcycles couldn’t have due to clutch and gear. Electrics have so simple drive process, your way will complicate it a lot which will make it like petrol motorcycles . That will be some step backwards from current progress. Yatri P1 has the best and easiest drive design for off roads. Foot brakes are for sports and city motorcycles.

The entire motorcycle. Like how TVS, Bajaj manufacture their motorcycle in India. I will take three brands Yatri, Bajaj and TVS to explain. Yatri, TVs and Bajaj all buy electric components such lights bulbs from other companies such as Phillips. All three make their own design, chassis, software. Yatri has more intensive software since it’s a smart bike. All of them buy braking system from brands like Bybre, Brembo. All three brands buy their tyres from MRF. All three of them design their own motor/engine but Yatri outsource its manufacturing to an US based company. In some cases TVS and Bajaj use international partners for engine design with brands such as BMW and KTM. Yatri prints the circuit board for CPU, Controller, 4G, GPS overseas and programs here. The whole OS for the P1’s computer is made in Nepal. So technically? It’s same as how any other brands motorcycle are manufactured.

But Tyo parts ko design and engineering ta Tesla le gareko cha. Also, P1 use a lot of carbon fiber. I doubt they are selling in loss just to prove themselves and penetrate market. And the result is now proving themselves, they would probably be the highest selling electric 2 wheelers in our market by end 2022.

Nabhaye how can someone give a 14KW motor, 3kwh battery, and all tier 1 vehicle parts for that price. Tesmathi they have a huge team of mechanical, software engineers. I am more than 80% sure P1 is currently at loss.
