Mitch, I've been waiting for this. Brew in hand and watching. Update, good to see the silly grin at the end. It seems that Dudek have really upped their game with the DriftAir and the Hadron 3. I'm liking the new handles. I can't wait for your thoughts on the Hadron 3 ( I fly lower in the weight range ;) ) Nice first impressions.

I typically fly low behind buildings in direct rotor. I have about 500 hrs of ground handling. I've never been thrown like that. 7:50 I don't blame you, I blame the wing.

Finally catching up on watching! Sorry it took so long. Very, very nice video. Slick production, of course great flying as always. Hey are you using a music service? I was using epidemic sound for a while but I just thought they were too expensive and I didn't like all their selections. So I'm shopping for a better one , where did you get that intro music? Dudek's new releases are lit. What I like about Dudek is the wings are truly engineered for motoring. Every other brand I have owned and flown felt like they were lacking certain nuances that set Dudeks apart. I am flying a 21 Solo @ 122kg and I finally found an intermediate I truly like. I have always kept my universal around for trashy days but the Solo handles turbulence really well so now I might sell it. I was considering a larger Universal for thermalling but I might even consider a larger solo since it had a pretty good glide on it.
I agree. I feel like they design the airfoil like an airplane wing, not a paraglider.

Another desert flyer. "It won't be white for long" lol. Always the feels the first time the wing plows into red sand.
What skill level do you think is needed to safely fly/test this wing? I know Dudek doesn’t like people with less than a couple hundred hours flying their hotter wings, but this one sounds like it may be friendlier and more accessible to someone who is comfortable carving, nails launches & landings, and other basics. Would you agree?
This is a good 3rd wing but not a good 2nd wing. If you nail launches and landings and you can do controlled spirals and wingovers then it should be fine.

So power attack pulls trims in when you press speedbar? Or does it let trims out when you press speedbar?
Trims go out when you press the speedbar. Trims in when you release the bar
@@MitchG so when you press speedbar, you'll be highly accelerated... I imagine you use just the tips to steer when doing that? Do you find it at all an issue that your tip lines are tied to your main brakes and you inadvertently pull a little brake when pressing speedbar, or is it a non-issue?
@@ryandinan yes you will be going max speed. You Must Not pull the main brake line. I'm very careful to only pull the tip line. It doesn't take much to make this wing roll

Wow. Damn. Like I don't have enough wings already. Now have to consider this one to. HXX18,SXX16,FR15... Mitch, why don't you do a proper review on a FR15/16. Would be fun to see how you'd compare it. I know you thought it was sketchy but maybe you'd reconsider. I've found non of that. It's solid.
I'd love to test a fr 16.

Yeah. I'd also be interested in a comparison against the freeride 16. On paper it should be solid with such a modest aspect ratio
Someone send me a 16m freeride. I flew a 19m freeride and didnt care for it. Didnt feel safe enough to fly on bar down low.
