    I think public trashcans in Tokyo were mostly removed because of the gas attacks in 1995. Maybe that's why Osaka covers theirs when there's big crowds of tourists?

    I think that 90% of Japanese international couples youtubers (with non-asian foreign women) are with men from Kansai region. Do you think the directness of Kansai culture has something to do with it? Or are Kansai men are more attracted to non-asian women or vice-versa?

    • @franklinthewoman
      @franklinthewoman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      That’s a good question!! I have a few friends in Tokyo who are married to or are dating men from the kanto area but I think almost all of them have lived abroad or traveled a lot. But other friends have told me that they like Kansai guys because they’re more direct and laidback! My husband doesn’t take things so seriously and he’s pretty open- minded for the most part

    • @franklinthewoman
      @franklinthewoman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it’s about the same as Tokyo! The train announcements are in English and so are many signs. In more touristy areas like Umeda or Shinsaibashi staff are more prepared to use English. Kyoto is very English-friendly as well!

      You make a very good point! This year I haven’t been actively trying to make too many friends for obvious pandemic reasons lol but in the first few months I was in Osaka I talked to a lot of people, maybe exchanged line info and hung out once or twice but it didn’t turn into a lasting friendship. So it’s hard to say! I experienced that in Tokyo too but I also have a couple really close Japanese friends that I made there.

    • @franklinthewoman
      @franklinthewoman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      For only having visited Tokyo 2 is a lot! 👏🏻 In my experience more people talked to me in Tokyo when I was visiting, maybe visitors have a less jaded look about them haha, or when people were drinking! I guess that’s the norm everywhere though haha. Maybe a bit of luck, but it could be that Tokyo just suits you and your partner better

    Tokyo is basically for the first timers and nothing more. Yes tokyo is huge but no much to lool at. that is why tokyo-related videos focus on team labo Shibuya scramble etc. Tokyo is a place for business not for a dat trip. Ask local Japanese that is what it is.

    I've been living in Tokyo for 3.5 years and I'm tired, people are boring and robots. Workaholics, always busy. You don't make long term friends at all. People use you to show off or to practice their english (i don't mind at all about the practice thing). Tokyo people only have eyes for US men, nothing else to say, facts!!!!!!! Your first year in Tokyo will be amazing, but after that it become boring easy and so fast. Hopefully I move to Osaka this year of 2023.
