A cup of tea and a scone is a very nice treat! However, there is also shopping at A-1 Sewing! I am not kidding. I love picking out new projects and spending lots of time in my sewing room. I feel very fortunate that I can do both!
A treat for me is to spend quiet time only doing what I want to do and not what others want or need me to do - whether it’s sewing, reading, or watching A 1 livestreams!!
I spend the day at my sewing machine listening to an Audible book. Of course, watching your daily message is also a positive. I love to spend time. Being self-employed for 30 years, I can worry when I do not have appointments (no work, no money) that would cause stress, but I remind myself I can have a free day, and it will be okay. I need to keep my mind in the present, and sewing or cutting fabric can help me take my mind off those things that cause worry and fear... I know you said how I treat myself. It all seems the same to me.
My biggest treat for myself is when my daughter and I go away for a girl's long weekend off season at the ocean. I'm at the age where I can buy pretty much what I want and treat myself that way all the time. But four days spent with my daughter - crafting, shopping, eating out, is a truly awesome treat.
My biggest treat to myself is going out to a fine restaurant and having a meal I did not plan, shop for, pay for, lug into house, prepare, cook, serve, and cleanup after! Then I order a decadent dessert. And there is no alcohol! What a wonderful dream!
For the past few years my best friend and I go shop hopping. We take a few days and hit as many fabric stores as possible. We love Amish country and I live just a few hours away so she will fly to Maryland from Florida and off we go. The following year I will head her way and we will shop hop Florida. Last year my daughter and granddarlings, who live in Tennessee wanted to join in so we headed to Branson, MO for the week and we hit up Arkansas on the way. We came back with so much fabric of which we are all still sewing up, that we thought we may have to rent a uhaul. This April we are heading to Missouri Star. These trips are the best way to treat ourselves and we have so much fun along the way seeing the stores we have been purchasing from for years and making new friends. We had actually planned a Nevada trip for this spring to meet our favorite superstars the Mulligan's but, schedules didn't work out . Still could happen later in the year though. This is the best way to treat yourself..Spend time with those you love sharing the thing you love! Guaranteed best treat ever!
I have treated myself in the past with new sewing machines. I may be ready for a new treat after hearing all of your observations of the Aveneer…. Time will tell!

I think the way I treat myself is “retail therapy”… before I started sewing/embroidering a few years ago, I’d go get clothes… now, its all about the fabric, fabric kits, designs and patterns!
It seems I rarely allow myself the luxury of going to my sewing/crafting area and working on things. I love to put on music or sometimes tv and sew until I'M READY to quit. There's always something or somebody that I give my time to. Now that I have invested in a beautiful new (used) machine I am hoping to get more time to enjoy it.
An immediate treat is a piece of dark chocolate! Other treats depend on timing and mood. Maybe a new sewing project, new clothes or waiting to purchase the new Aveneer (but I will also need a new top for cabinet and don't want to give up the extra 6" space on the right side for my sewing utensil holder 😕).
A treat for me is buying myself some type of craft item, be it sometime for sewing and embroidery like a new roll or a kit or sometimes it is eating some yummy thing that I shouldn't cuz I'm trying to lose weight and eat better.
