God bless you each for your openness/vulnerability . Honest with your thoughts.
I too have had losses; loosing my mother when I was 3. No one can immediately grasp the finality of death but I think for a very young child, it’s much more impossible. I remember coming to the realization, the afternoon of the funeral, that mother isn’t around anymore but I just really wanted everyone to go home so we could be normal again. Of course it didn’t happen. I also soon learned to not talk about mother because it would have everyone crying , which seemed worse. So many memories were lost. In later years we sisters learned to talk about it together and by then we knew it would have been better if we had talked and cried together years before.
So I would encourage the daughter who finds it hard to talk with her mother about their loss, to find a time to actually discuss things with her; I believe it would help with healing on both sides. We as mothers find it hard to see our children mourn and not being able to discuss it with them.
We (after I married)then had a baby loss of stillbirth …. We all grieve differently, in different stages. But it’s often also helpful to talk with someone outside the family.
You each shared some very helpful tips. Thank you 🙏🏻

Hi Gina and Delphine. You are both dear friends. How touching to hear you share your stories today and see the beauty of your submissive faith. You both continue to serve God so faithfully.
Laura, you have experienced so much varied grief, yet you honour God in your responses. God bless you all for having the courage to share so vulnerably. I'm sure it will be comforting to many.
