Yes! My phone's screen was completely smashed so I couldn't use it at all, but before it broke I set an alarm for 7.20 every morning and now I can't stop the alarm, since my phone restarts instead of shutting down when I press the turn on/off button, super irritating! I just looked at this video and it apparently it was the only way to shut the phone down.

Why did you cut the adhesive strips?
many do & I wonder y, but I think it's because they are doing it for next time they need to replace, it'll be less easy to remove without worrying bout it breaking off
Every phone has its own battery or we can replace any battery lithum ion battery in our phone with same capacity and dimension ?
There are few models which are compatible but 95% of them using different ones

@@DIYGeardo Well....seems everywhere the Redmi Note 9 battery is the BN54 too...strange.
My Redmi 9 has been dropped and since then the usb c port no longer works. What would be the cheapest way to get the phone working again? I would have thought to buy a battery charger and use your tutorial to remove and install the battery. Unfortunately, I can't find a charger for the BN54 online. There are universal devices, but I don't know if they will work with this battery.
First option will be trying a new charging port board. If still have issues, needs to check what is going on, Try a different cable, wall adaptor etc too

it's hard to tell, it's always worth trying, I also bought BN54 to put in redmi note 9s , haven't put it since I still gotta buy the opening tools, i'm hoping it works, I wish ppl like these replaced the batteries with different models to show us 😿
